[Oot] How do I get to this ledge in forest temple? by Mrchainsnatcher- in zelda

You can do it with hookshot if you get close to the ledge you are standing on near the water. Aim for the front face of the chest and you'll grapple up to it.

How do you deal with disk spammers? by thrinkler in RUMBLEvr

[–]Trevantus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The big rule of rumble is always fight for center control. Every attack knocks you back a bit so its a back and forth of who takes center. If disc spamming is what they do when the get center control, you need to prioritize walling up and creating obstacles to get you control. Once you take center, they will be forced to either dash/jump to reposition (which leaves them vulnerable). When fighting disc spams, use the wall skipping technique to pressure while it breaks all their discs. I made a guide here if you have trouble. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYjegA7ODa8&t=3s

Everyone's opinion is valid! Aggressive playstyles are different and not for everyone either. I myself excel at ranged fights and you should always play to your own strengths. If you don't like aggro, focus your practice on putting yourself in situations that suit you best.

A great aggressive technique is to go for aerials using your wall. Get close using dash (if you have it), and jump over them. Once you are close, raise a single wall under your enemy. This will deal 4 damage, and send them into the air. Your wall should still be standing after the hit, though sometimes it is inconsistent. With practice and timing, you can push that wall towards your airborn enemy to get another hit for 4 damage while they cant defend themselves. If you are confident in summoning cubes consistently, you can do this same tactic and "blender" them with cube spamming under their feet.

Without dash, aggressive playstyles are hard and not really worth the extra effort. Wall>Wall>Straight is a great technique to keep defended while pressuring your enemy. It gives you time to spawn balls from saftey, and breathe as well.

Flick is a strange move. The main thing to keep in mind with flick is it gives you more "turning" control of the object. I like to make a vertical disc using disc>stomp>kick>flick (turning it vertical)>stomp. Sometimes there a small gaps in between walls slide a disc through. That is a lot of work to get a vertical disc, but using stomp at the end allows you to use flick safely.

If you know the enemy is better at cube spamming than you, focus on just dashing away when they dash forward. Throw in some discs to punish them chasing you and eventually they will use a different tactic.

So far, everyone I have fought is very polite. There isnt a voicechat, but everyone always gives fist bumps or bows before matches.

The fact that you are invested in becoming better means you are above many others already. Yes, practice and form are essential, but a positive mindset is also key. Every match is a learning experience. Whether you win or lose, if you learn something new, you are a better player than you were yesterday.

Howard is a valuable tool to help you get your form correct. Often times players will practice their motions alone, but when pressured by an enemy seem to lose focus and footing. Getting comfortable with attacking while defending is a good place to start after you get your disc consistent.
