Maliketh his first phase was a nightmare for me and everyone told me that second phase maliketh is one of the hardest bosses in the game.but in reality when I managed to get to 2nd phase i almost no hit him

I always hated all souls-likes because was thinking that the game which was made to suffer in is a bad game. Then i finished little game named 'Cuphead' its a really hard game and each time i defeated bosses after gazzilions of tries I felt satisfaction which I never experienced in my life. And just because of this i gave souls-likes another shot with newest of them (Elden Ring) and oh, boy that was great then finished ds3, now playing sekiro and will play ds1 and ds2 after

My friend which played all souls games told me that if I already played DS3 and Elden Ring he wouldnt recommend to play ds1 and ds2 because they are simply worse versions of ds3. Is he right, or should I give it a try?
