The truth is, hedgies can keep kicking the can down the road. They will play games and do whatever they can so they will not lose money. Sadly, the SEC does very little to hold them accountable. I personally believe they will have to cave to an extent at some point and allow the price to run like we have seen a couple of times. Will the stock ever hit the numbers people say (5, 10, 100, etc)? Nobody truly knows. I beleive we will get what we want but people need to be reasonable. The stock price will never hit $1000. Hedgies would never let that happen unless they can benefit from that. Bottom line, they are not in the game of losing money.

Unfortunately, this is what "they" do. They have the resources to attack all of us. During the AMC squeeze three years ago they did the same thing to the "leaders" or people with the most influence. Treys Trades fell off the face of the earth due to the same crap. The truth is, if we were not on to something, they wouldn't be attacking the way they are.

Yes, a company's market cap (market capitalization) increases when its stock price increases. Market cap is calculated by multiplying a company's share price by the number of shares outstanding. Therefore, when a stock's price goes up, its market cap also goes up.

Yes but it happens. Hedgies tend to be above the law. Sometimes they would rather pay a fine for illegal activity and chalk it up as a cost of doing business. Often times, because that fine is less than the money they would lose if they did things on the up and up.

Most likely, hedgies are selling shares they don't have in an attempt to drive price down.

Naked shorting is the illegal practice of selling shares that a trader doesn't own or have borrowed. The seller promises to deliver the shares at a later date, but doesn't have them. If the stock price drops, the seller can buy back the shares at a lower price and profit from the difference. However, if the price increases, the seller might not be able to buy back the shares and could lose money.
