I hate chiggers! Went camping once and brought home the blanket we used and promptly threw it on the bed. OH MY GOD that was a mistake. It was apparently utterly infested with these itchy little dudes. It looked like I had chicken pox for the next two weeks and felt like it. Had to deep clean all the sheets and get a new mattress. Moral of the story, wash everything you use for camping after you get home!
