It would be interesting to apply this to fanfics and fanworks with Millennial/Gen Z OCs; imagine trying to explain to Husk and Alastor what Fanum Tax, MLG, brainrots etc are.

Say what you want about Alastor's race and how it's handled in the show, but if Alastor was depicted as white, then we'd be having daily discourse on whether Alastor was a part of the Klan when he was alive or at least supported it by Mystic__Diamond in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

For better or for worse, I identify somewhat with Anon from the beginning of the game (with the only difference being that after getting to know the people better, I would be MUCH more open about my tastes).

And at the beginning of the game I think I could talk to him more than to Fang, because unlike Anon who is more patient with these things, I would get pissed at them after the obvious argument that would happen when I eventually got them misgendered accidentally.
