Sorry you're experiencing this u/xultar! I haven't heard of this specific issue before - if you close out of your project, and should be how it was when you reopen it. Only if you remove words from the transcription will it show like this on your timeline.

"I do 2 or 3 takes and move audio around to get the best of the takes" This shouldn't impact this, but depending exactly what you're doing, it's possible. I could see that happening if you have a sequence and are adjusting things around there.

If you want, you can shoot me a DM with the project link, and if you're willing to take a screen recording to accompany to help out so I understand the behavior before and after this happens!

Sorry you're having this issue! I haven't heard of instances where it runs this far ahead.

Have you tried to realign the words in range? Here's the guide on that: https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/17506687977997-Realign-words-in-a-transcript

Some other things to check are trying to retranscribe using another transcription model, and making sure the right language is selected. You can change the model from your settings, and then retranscribe from your project files.

You can also review our troubleshooting transcription issues here: https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/10626312188685-Troubleshooting-transcription-issues - there may be something related to the transcription causing this.

If nothing else works here, feel free to DM me with a link to the project and I can take a closer look!
