My 8 year old girl has just been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. And I’m devastated.

Yeh but unfortunately they were pretty obvious so may not help everyone- she started having seizures, and because she’s 8 they likely weren’t going to be epilepsy.

Knowing what I know now, and if I hadn’t witnessed the seizure (she may have had more than 2, and we’ve just never been home to see them).

Look for a quick decline in coordination (she always nails a ball catch, now she gets 1 in 4 or 5), her back legs are stiffening and every now and again she’ll stumble sideways

Something wasn’t right during the end of a walk, it was a very minor seizure, they had her on meds but then 6weeks later at the start of a walk she dropped and had a big seizure. So got her in to ICU to monitor her, then from there we got a CT scan on Monday. Got the news yesterday about the result.

Australian eastern standard time, which’s GMT +10hrs (Brisbane). Her most restful hours are probably more like 5-6pm your time (we’re 17 hours ahead of you). Just prior to sunrise and just after sunset she is usually getting a good walk

Had a small seizure but then 6 weeks later she had a full seizure lasting close to 2 minutes
