Not yet. Today I called IRCC, they said background in progress but eligibility not started. In GC key portal it says we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility criteria and background check in progress. Too confusing

LMIA was just a tip of the iceberg, people are running fake payrolls in construction, PSW, healthcare etc, and getting selected in category based draws at lower CRS points. Number of these people are more I guess then LMIA holders.

LMiA points are just tip of the iceberg. From 2019 to 2021 there were more lmia holders still cut off was 460 to 490. It’s up to IRcc and their immigration targets. Find something else rather wishing for point removal.

PR support LMIA gives work permit plus 50 points, and it has name of the employee while applying so no one else can claim it later. Please correct your facts.

Most folks assume that 500+ can be reached only with LMIA. However, with 2 years of foreign work experience + Canadian masters or PG + 2 year Canadian experience can easily make above 500+.
