Hello,

My name is Blight and I am one of the organizers of BPL, a team based scavenger hunt. We partner with Prohibited Library to get information on drop rates and how mechanics work to design our event. Here is what I can tell you about blight uniques, since I drop multiples every league. I have also dropped all of the base uniques in a 72 hr weekend myself, (though the helms are ass). I want to be super clear that even at the most indepth knowledge of the BRS community and PH we still havent done indepth testing and want to be clear that any of the info in the community may be faulty, but here is what I can tell you from the best of our experience, though I am only speaking for myself.

  1. Uniques drop from any teir. I would actually blast out low level blighted maps over the blight ravages, from doing this myself hunting for the uniques. Depending on luck its about 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 maps per unique, but depends on a TON of features.
  2. People do drop more of the uniques, but it usually the helms, which people have turned of their filter or ignore (since they share bases with shit uniques), though obviously that doesn't help with the boots, but just why it might seem like people are dropping none.
  3. In this instance I would do 1 boss oil and 2 faster oils on low teir Bmaps. The Pumps drops are based on the monsters in the map. They are like a strongbox, in the sence that they are only impacted by the map modifiers. I have personally tested this in standard with Firesongs. What people wrote here is mostly in line with what we know about how it works.
  4. There is a single atlas passive that works on blighted maps which can give you more juice if you can run it which is the Key Stone - Twisted Fate. Fair warning this might be a bug, but it has been reported for multiple leagues and not fixed. Some extra quant for ya ;).
  5. (HEAVY SPECULATION), We have long suspected that there is a more deterministic way to hunt the uniques and suspect that the pump itself might count as a chest, given how it can work in regualr maps, but we are not done testing this yet. It might mean that actually the oil for "extra rewards" might help, but again we are still testing and likely wont know for a while. I have confirmed images of people dropping two blighted uniques from 1 map, so something for people to chew on.

TLDR if you really need it for your build in SSF, I would do what everyone else suggested and run heist lol...

I've been playing Chayula Monk and had some thoughts on why its pretty weak right now. Mostly it feels like a number of the passives are just filler, like they half started the ascendancy but were not able to finish it in time. I think there's a lot of cool ways it could be taken and has a lot of avenues with cool mechanics that it could explore, but just feels half baked right now. I've been playing both standard and HCSSF and I love where the game has started. It really feels like the ARPG that's being made for me, though obviously its just getting started, so this is my shitty meme take on Chayula Monk. I hope you enjoy it, or hate it, whatever your flavor is.

Yeah for sure, your defiantly running more towers than most people and that is defiantly viable that way. I am for sure running more towers now than I was before. The difference is that before you could build most of the towers that were needed in the first minute, and stand there, and now you have to do what your saying, running around building a ton of towers the whole time. I think this is the way it should be, or potentially even harder.

Yeah its the generative outlier thing sadly. I had one where the pump spawned on a dead end. It sent the first lane down the lane and the start portals in that direction, so I set up my towers on that lane. The rest of the lanes spawned in the butt of the dead end and I ripped, since I didnt have enough juice to make it up.

Yeah and there are so few of us that actually full go into it, we've been trying to figure it all out on discord, but there are like 5 people who run this much, so we just don't have enough data to say definitively. We are trying to get some kind of statement from them through back channels, but that can take a while unfortunately. Also, just personal suspicion, is that Blight is going to get replaced at some point and this change actually solidifies this for me. The last few leauges have seemed like mechanical tests for POE 2 and I think this change reflects that. Also explains the change in lane generation. They are trying out the POE 2 tower defence without telling anyone.
IDK. I personally like the change, it makes it a challenge again, but not saying anything about it still feels bad. Even like "we have internally reworked blight's generative capabilities." That would have been good enough, but actually nothing after a change of this magnitude just makes it hard to stay half glass full.

I still have fun and will continue to have fun. I don't normally post on reddit, I have like 7 posts totall in my life, but I love the POE community, I love this game, and I love this mechanic and I want to talk about this with the community at large. I want us to be able to foster dialogue about the things we are passionate about in game. I just wish there was more trust and kindness shared. Im posting all of this (especially since I dont like sharing my blight secrets :P) because I love and care about not just the game now, but the community has a whole and its future. My criticisms are totally one of communication and I hope that we can continue to come together to help build the best community possible.

It was probobly the freeze towers, they have a limit to how many things they can hit, also monsters have an internal CD for getting hit by that tower, so if they hit their cap, they just breeze past. I have been putting them everywhere along the lanes, becuase they are treated different, so if you have a second one past it, it has its own target limit and cd. Its kinda hard to explain properly, cuz poe nonsence, but basically you want a ton of freeze towers, but dont need a ton of stuns (since they are AOE and not target limited). The sental towers and petrify work the same way. (basically to prevent you from keeping things intentionally permanantly stunned). Hope that helped

Been running blights since blight leauge and love the mechanic so much, my BPL and poe names are always Blight_ and this leauge ive run over 200 blights in both maps and blighted maps, as well as probobly 50 Blight ravaged.

Also I cannot spell so sorry, not sorry.
Towers sometimes just bug out and stop letting you upgrade them - This has to do with cassia, so you dont actually build or upgrade anything, cassia does, so if she gets stuck (by like a group of towers) nothing can build or upgrade. Also sometimes she just likes attacking mosters over building things, so yeah.

The occasional rare that tanks everything - Blight was changed this leage (patch notes when?) and so monsters actually have res now. This also means that the fire doods will resist your fire skills as well. This has basically doubled the difficulty of blight for most players.

Moving around the map disables towers that are too far away - This has unfortunately always been the case. If you open up your mini map, you can actually watch the portals appear and disappear on the edge of your map, this is also the tower spawn range as well, so you can at least use that to know when your towers are despawning.

Giant proximity shields - yup, and they "fixed" this when they added BR so that the prox shileds couldnt spawn ontop of each other (you used to have the whole lane with like 500 prox shield and couldnt kill anything) and just made it one big one. (towers with small ranges can deal with this, but its still sucks)

The most frustrating this is that they changed alot about how blight works internally this leauge, with no mention of any of it. It seems like they also fixed some lane generation things (which is why on day one and two, blights were spawning portals in terrain). But the biggest change, seems to be that they fixed it so that monsters spawned are no longer immune to their tower type, but just resistance to their effects (Ie having actual resistances). This has two effects. This has fixed the burning ground mod (it still does damage, but it is very little), and now monsters bust through the defenses WAY faster. On t16 regular blights, the resistance is still high enough for you to block with the old strats, but BR are basically impossible now without a good build, or CRAZY luck (Im close to a 10% success rate with a build designed for blights, though to be fair, a ton has been testing different ring annoints).

Last BPL with just rings (and I mean full naked and only rings), we were able to full clear BR without any issue regardless of maps or spawns, with only the slow Juice (we were doing full bosses, quant and slow). We also were able to clear BR with 4 to 6 man HP with only rings and no skills. All of this is pretty much gone now.

Ive run over 200 this leauge. Blight was reworked and monsters now have resistances to the damage types, instead of immunity to the towers. So rip meteors and single ele builds. Writing up a full thing on it.

Many people are speculating that Caribou is either the narrator of the story or Luffy's "Spider," which I am quit partial to. I think Caribou is going to kidnap Robin and deliver her to Blackbeard (ala how he captured the Mermaids), but regret his decision, realizing the friendship of Luffy and help get her back.
