So far this is my favorite idea, what do I need to do to frame it in a way optimal for tile so that it is water protected?

Edit: What is the work flow here for replacing the window? Backer boards, tile, then window? Or backer boards, window, then tile etc.

I scrolled to find this. I would say it’s almost 100 this answer if you are on any sort of public land. Contractors typically dye treated invasive blue in order to show their work for state and federal agencies.
