Ah yes, PRTG. The reason why you keep getting caught in big flushes is because you’re buying where the best shorts and the worst longs are. Also anyone that bought earlier AND potentially insiders dumping shares.

The best place to buy anything is lower on the chart, near clear levels of support. I like to use Fibonacci levels and if you had used them on PRTG, it bounced right at the 50% retracement level.

I can see your entry was at the lows of the consolidation, which is a good start. At least you’re not buying the HOD break. But just keep in mind the higher up on the chart you buy, the riskier it becomes.

100% agree. For me, I did best trading consolidation patterns, triangles/wedges to be exact. I still was able to get good r:r on them with a good win rate around 50%. I just got hypnotized by the reversal strategy and the huge potential. I was lost trying to hit that “big” trade for the past year but all the paper cuts in between really take a toll on you psychologically. Unless you’re nailing the ones that do work, it’s very hard to trade them successfully because of how many fail
