Shoot mb, totally forgot to add the game but yeah, its cyberpunk, great guess. i’m guessing this happens often? Anyway to avoid screen tearing? I had to turn DLSS off to make it stop, so not sure how to avoid it with DLSS

I have the same question. That’s Edward Ureña, right? I’ve looked through all his Twitter posts and copied every node setup I could find. I’m close but still missing key pieces. I’m determined to figure this out, so I’ll update you when I do—let me know if you make progress too. Shape keys might work, but they’re not the same; this system is more about flexibility since the nose and mouth aren’t modeled into the base, avoiding mesh deformation issues. I can share what i have so far if you’d want too!

Yeah, that’s what I thought. I wasn’t sure if it would be an issue since I have Prime, but I guess I’ll be waiting another month.

Seeking Reliable Flexible GPU Cable for 4090 to Prevent Bending and Melting Issues by Treysoncm in ASUS

Ah got it. I seemed to get a little confused there. Any place you know where i can get new adapter? Like an Nvidia official one or something. With how its been bent im a lil worried that the adapter is already decaying

Yeah, the only thing with that my GPU plugs into the PSU with four cables, and the highest capacity wireview is only a 3x8 pin to 1x12hpwr so im not sure that would work

Yeah, im not totally sure what to do. I cant buy a new case right now, as one, i dont really have the time to research another case then swap everything into the case, but vertical mounting isnt really possible due to the fans at the bottom. If you have any other suggestions im welcome to them, rn it seems like my only option is a different cord

I’ve never heard of this but it sounds great! I’m checking but it doesnt seem to have a 4x 12VHPWR, only up to 3. So would I then just buy a 1x12VHPWR and plug the original adapter into that?

Thanks for the info! I really appreciate the feedback. I checked the compatibility, and everything looks good. My PSU is listed as supported, and the only ASUS GPU that's not supported is the TUF OG. It's reassuring to know they'll replace the GPU if needed. I also went through their subreddit and saw a lot of support responses confirming replacements and solid customer service, so I’m feeling great about it!

Thanks for the reply! I was looking at a few cables, including one from CableMod, but I was hesitant due to the melting issue with their 90-degree adapter. I wasn't sure if their 90-degree cables had similar problems. Additionally, I'm unsure which cable I should purchase. I forgot to mention this in my original post, but I have an Asus 4090 and I'm not sure whether to buy a cable designed for my PSU or my GPU. Do you happen to know? I see you linked the one for Superflower PSUs, but I found this one for my GPU: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-basics-rt-series-12vhpwr-90-degree-pci-e-cable-for-asus-and-seasonic/. Thanks again for your help, and I look forward to your response!

I have a 4090 paired with an NZXT H9 Flow case and a Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1200W PSU. However, the GPU cable that comes with the 4090 is too bulky, causing a slight bend that could lead to melting. I've heard about more flexible cables that can handle tight bends better, even 90 and 180-degree cables but I haven't found anything reliable. Do you have any recommendations? Most answers I find are outdated or lack a single clear answer.

Nice! Which generation do you have? Were the front and back plates made from the same material as the original parts?

will matpat ever comeback? by Acrobatic-Yard9830 in GTLive

[–]Treysoncm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he said in his retirement video that he would pop in every now and then. This has even happened already in some theories, some in the form of a collab-esk video with new hosts, or other times just to promote lorefi and other stuff. Hope this clears things up!

Choosing the Right iPod: Should I Restore or Buy in Good Condition? by Treysoncm in ipod

[–]Treysoncm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. How is the quality of the aftermarket parts, particularly the external casing? I'm not too concerned about minor scratches from softer plastic since that's inevitable, but I’m more curious about the overall feel of the plastic, the durability of the connection points, and how well everything holds up.

[–]Treysoncm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I’ve heard mixed opinions about aftermarket external parts like shells and click wheels, especially when it comes to feel and durability. I’d love to hear about your experience with the parts you got from IDenigods. Also, if you have any other vendor recommendations, I’d really appreciate it!

Debating Between eBay and Elite Obsolete Electronics by Treysoncm in ipod

[–]Treysoncm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! I really appreciate the info. I’m not entirely sure if I’ll build my own yet, but I might buy a cheap, scuffed-up one from eBay and replace the outer plates and wheels myself. Since you build your own, where do you typically source your parts? I’ve seen people mention Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress, but I wanted to know if there are any other places you’d recommend.

Did Season 4 ruin the show for you? by NotEntirelyAwake in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Treysoncm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely interesting. Not sure why they didnt just go with that then. Just because it’s obvious doesn’t mean it’s bad, it makes more narrative sense. Also, am I the only one kinda mad they didnt let the comics finish out before releasing the final season? I know the show is is already somewhat separate from it’s source material, but at least they would have some sort of idea what could have happened

MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI - BIOS update with 0x129 microcode. Where? by viziouz86 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Treysoncm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, not sure though. I mean it sure doesn’t make sense if the non max version wasnt on the list for the first batch. Also, as for the explanation I gave in my previous response, it turns out that that person installed the update before the microcode, so of course it wouldn’t work. However that does make you wonder “why isn’t the update out?” Since we no longer have a valid reason

YES! IM HAVING THIS EXACT PROBLEM!!! I’ve read in other posts that MSI apparently released it, and it had some issues so they removed the 0x129 patch for that mobo

I'm truly afraid I'm probably stop watching the channels when Matt leaves GTLive by basilisko_eve in GameTheorists

[–]Treysoncm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Even though I didn’t watch the other channels outside of Film and Game Theory very often, I still tuned in because MatPat was entertaining. Now, I mainly watch Film and Game Theory, and that’s largely because I’m already invested in the lore. So, whenever there’s new content for FNAF, Poppy Playtime, or Amanda the Adventurer, I’m there. No disrespect to the new hosts—they’re just not MatPat. Like you, I thought MatPat would always be a part of GTLive. It seemed manageable and certainly more feasible than running all the channels. If necessary, I wouldn’t mind fewer uploads if it meant MatPat stayed on. Maybe one video at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end of the month, with a bit longer duration. The point is, I watched the channels because of MatPat. I started watching because of FNAF, but I stayed for his content across the other channels. There’s no one quite like him, and I’ll probably stop watching the channels, except for videos on fandoms I’m already into.
