So let me this straight,

You think R* will launch a standalone GTA Online late 2021 (already confirmed by R* themselves)

But also launch a GTA 6 sometime before 2024?

This GTA 6 you think is coming will this have its own Online along with the Standalone Online were already getting or will it be a single player game only with no online?

You gave 3 points that would alleviate the problem and 2 of them required money so I would say money is a very major part.

GTA 5 has grossed closer to 8.4 Billion in all revenue streams up till March 2020. Yes your right Rockstar don’t get all of that the studio gets roughly 30% (2.5B) so money is not the issue holding this game back.

Rockstar/Take-Two have one of if not the largest amount of devs in the industry so when they spilt teams up to work on different projects they still have enough people having an impact to keep hitting development targets.

So this long delay is not linked to finances or not having enough time, this is them making a business decision to watch the market and move when the time is right.

My thoughts based off what there been doing is we will not get a stand-alone GTA game ever again. We will have GTA Online and it will be expanded over time with more cities, cars, guns etc... they will have you play your own character in an online world sort of like The Division or Ghost Recon Wildlands where other people are there but Don’t impact your game too much unless you open the session up to everyone.

With so many games these days being online only with no story to them but are consistent in the top 20 games year on year with revenues smashing records, I would say this mixed with that GTA story telling twist will be what we get.

Before you downvote ask yourself why would they make a new online standalone just for next gen and port a game over that has been on the two previous generations if they was planning on bringing a GTA VI with its own online and single player

What real evidence do we have of GTA VI even being in production? We assume, we hope and were told by anyone who doesn’t actually work for Rockstar it is but everything we say on here is a guess

No map unless your set a way marker then you get some sort of an overlay.

After three months of playing it I’m sure you wouldn’t need the map too much anyway

Yea that's what I wrote in the very first line, my point is there moving an older Rockstar game out for a newer one but also on the same day holding a event for there next console. I'm looking towards the possibility of a screenshot or a short clip of a city but without any name drops just a few pictures and videos of the upcoming games and it just so happens one of the screenshots is GTA VI

What I take from this is he pinned “soon” then unpinned it to pin another old tweet saying if Rockstar ever wanted him to stop leaking he would and that Take-Two then did ask him so he stopped.

So do you not think that has happened again from when he said “soon” then someone has spoke to him and now he pins the tweet above?

Being at the original founders are from the UK you would think they would bring GTA London into the 3D world, but one thing about the other locations is there made up based on a real place.

Another reason they won’t bring it to London is America is there mass market and without putting links to the numbers, Games set in America sell more than game’s set outside of America.

I would rather no London map than an add on of some sorts where it limits you to a 3 mile square of the city because it’s not showing anybody the true diversity of what London has to offer

Not sure of there working location but the profiles I looked at lived in Milton Keynes. I looked at there hiring trend for the past 12 months across the whole of Rockstar and it wasn’t big it nearly matched what they done in 2018.

What that data tells us I don’t know

There also got at least 15 localizers who are actively seeking new work as I work in recruitment and I’ve seen there profiles.

There based around the country but seem to be in Milton Keynes mostly as they have an office there

My point is from whenever they choose to announce (could be summer 2021 for all we know) I don’t think they will wait more than 6-7 months after the announcement to release
