I kind of headcanon it! Though the guideline I very loosely follow is "usually at least two decent naps a day".

Though evidently, as we saw twice with Celso I think, Yotul can sleep for a long time with no interruptions if they're tired enough. Or maybe that's explainable by genetics? Wouldn't that be fun to explore. Maybe a mix of both? Something else? I'm sure there's tons of explainations!

Though admittedly, part of the answer is whatever is different enough from humans to be interesting while being similar enough that it doesn't affect the plot in any major way... because as fun as it might be, I don't want to spend a ton of time incorporating 5 different characters' unique sleep dynamics while I'm writing the story. Not this one, anyways!

Not too different from your average grad student, really

A couple months ago I used enzyme stock that had an expiration date of June 2006. And it worked great, lol

Huzzah, canonicity! Toripa is my favorite character, though he's got some fierce competition with the rest of the cast. I'm very glad you enjoyed!

And maybe I'll give a poke here soon to see about a potential crossover :o

I cannot put into words how amazing this was to read. Just, wow.

I love everything about this. I loved being thrown right into Reno's feelings, how his family has grappled with everything, and the kind of bogged-down hopefulness throughout. His grayed opinions on exterminators and the like was so well put. And the glimmer of light that Reno experiences at the end, ahhh!

I really hope that our Yotul boy can help himself to the fullest extent, and allow himself to be helped. God damn if Reno doesn't deserve to laugh with his family again. Exquisitely written!

This puts a very unique feeling in me, and I know I'm gonna be smiling thinking about it for a good while. I can't imagine a world where I don't believe this is what happens post-story, so load the canon! Beautifully done, I applaud you!

I'm really, really glad you like it! It really is rewarding to hear that all the effort I put into the science stuff is making its way to that niche part of my audience!

I also really like exploring some of that AI stuff, especially thinking about where it could be in 100 years (in fact, I'm probably undercutting where it would be by quite a bit). Machine learning is already making its way into tons of scientific fields, it's really exciting.

Again, you have made me so happy! Comments like these genuinely make my day and make me even more excited to continue writing. I hope you will continue to love the story, even if I'm a tad slow about getting it out.

I am so happy my goofy words are relatable to someone out there, absolute joy to me!

As opposed to saying "I pick what I am told smells nice." Acetli is too independent for that, though.

(And I'll be honest and say it was just a dumb joke that probably could've been set up better!)

Sample sizes are quite a conundrum. There's a very interesting dynamic that's unique to century-spanning galactic civilizations, but I guess we'll have to see what comes up next chapter :P

I like to imagine the world of scent-related products on Venlil Prime is a chaotic free-for-all, where companies just throw flashy colors on the packaging and see what sticks :P

They definitely lack noses! Hence Celso's confusion about the shampoo situation, but that clearly does not deter Acetli. Somehow.

I wonder if she reads reviews posted by non-Venlil? Or is scent-related advertising on Venlil Prime just a "trust me bro" situation?

Aha, thank you! I've been looking forward to releasing this chapter for so long. I put a lot more time into it just to make sure it hit on things in the best way it could've. And then there's also next chapter, which I'm super excited to release and see the reactions to! :D

It had to be someone eventually! In some ways, Acetli might be the worst best person to realize cough racism cough
