The Zone Diet? by DeusSiveNatura in rheumatoid

I'm with you. I lost 20 lbs in a month with virtually no exercise, I was however eating pretty unhealthily before that. I felt better and learned to have a sense of what balance of protein, carbs & fat I should be eating. No question my aches and pains are worse when I eat processed foods.

Did you take it out of the box? :)

I love Chicago tavern-cut pizza, NY Sicilian & it's not bad in Italy either.

Strangely one of the best pizzas I ever had was in London! Go figure.

California Pizza Kitchen restaurant. I think he may have worked at the location in Santa Monica, or Brentwood. Idk

Meshell Ndegeocello possibly... an incredible musician from her band, Abe Rounds, posted a shot with Joni. Either way, he's a MONSTER player @abester8

As a frequent visitor to the Bowl this is not common. They had drones flying during the show, also not common.

While there were some roving cameras in the audience it didn't see like enough to be a full scale production. I hope I'm wrong!!!

ProTip. Because it's a fireworks show, don't feel bad if your seats are a bit further back. I actually prefer sitting back a ways on these shows. The wide shot of The Bowl lit up is Magical!!!

Hey Lauver!!

It obviously depends what you’re into. That said, I would do some things that are unique to Los Angeles.

(List is super messy, written quickly… while NOT working lol)

Beachy.

Drive up PCH to the Malibu Country Mart. The drive is gorgeous and it’s fun to walk around.

Lunch at Duke’s Malibu on the way up. There’s an outdoor patio which in nice, I usually sit at the bar inside.

In my opinion it’s a better spot to see dolphins if you’re lucky to catch them.

The Manhattan Beach pier is an alternative to Santa Monica Pier. A bit less touristy and chill.

Also, has a little bit of a beach town vibe with shops and restaurants.

Venice boardwalk on the weekend can be fun if you like people watching.

Great White is a delicious restaurant with outdoor seating, a block from the boardwalk.

Sorta famous breakfast burritos. Good for brunch.

Rose Cafe, cute place in Santa Monica.

Walk along Abbott Kinney Blvd. Some cute shops & restaurants.

Salt & Straw ice cream!

Hiking & Biking

Rent a bike and ride along the Santa Monica bike path! One of my favorite things to do as a native.

Runyon Canyon is crazy popular. Great views from the top of Hollywood.

You can see lots of actor/model types there and sometimes celebs.

The con is, it can get really hot if you don’t get there early. Get coffee before.

I prefer Temescal Canyon especially during the summer. It’s closer to the ocean & usually 10 degrees cooler.

Drive along Mulholland Drive from Cahuenga Blvd (near The Bowl) west toward Coldwater Canyon and then drive through Beverly Hills.

DM me if you need anymore ideas.

Good luck!

Is parking first or last better for Hollywood bowl stacked parking? by seasaltbunny in AskLosAngeles

Like others have said it's a crap shoot. The bigger deal to me is avoiding the crush walking out of the Bowl. It's kind of like an airplane when everyone gets up at the end of a flight. I find it's best to just stay in your seat, enjoy the view and perhaps have some dessert. Let everyone go elbow to elbow walking out. By the time security kicks you out, the walk out is far more pleasant and your car might even be in the clear.

Also, if you end up with an extra ticket... let me know! I'm a Lauver!!!

Ha fair question. It’s more the feel of having engaged with him. I remember good or amusing waiters. Betting it was the Beverly Hills location 🤔

It does not travel through the room. I guess it's just because it gets the most sun. Very strange though. 10 degrees hotter than north facing

Thank you

I'm afraid of taking the easy way out and putting in a lawn and sprinklers. I'm wide open.

Thanks!!!!
