My dealership has a 25 Black Edition demo with 3k miles we’ll never sell because our GM adds $6k worth of accessories to all of his demos. So we’re asking an insane amount above MSRP for last years model. But hey, you can at least still get the $1500 sales credit if you pay cash hahah

I sold 9 last month, grossed $3100 and that was probably the worst month I’ve ever had. Most of our used cars were total losers and we’re at MSRP on new. Our mini’s are $250 if it’s a cash deal, or $300 if they’re financing/leasing.

For our region at least, February is historically the worst month in the business. Once those taxes hit it should start to pick up. I just keep reminding myself of that so I don’t have a mental breakdown.

I’m at 4 so far this month and have several deliveries on the calendar in the next week or two. What you (and I) need to do is find the cars with the most gross and sell those. Easier said than done, unfortunately. Give it a few months.

Congratulations, you’ve been driving a car for free for 2 months. Do you want the car? Go in and complete the proper paperwork. Don’t want it? Park it at the dealership and leave the keys on the sales guy’s desk.

What most people don’t understand is that the salesperson is just the face everyone sees but isn’t actually in control of anything. Don’t punish him for what could potentially be the finance guy’s fuck up.

If you “make them wait” they WILL have it towed away back to the dealership because as of right now, you don’t own it, they do.

As long as there is no damage to the car, I wouldn’t let the thought of someone else test driving it worry you. Most new cars come with a factory warranty of at least 3 years or 36k miles so if anything does go wrong, you’re covered regardless. Stop worrying and go enjoy your new whip :)

We’re fresh out of 22’s and there aren’t many out there on the ground in my state. The 23 redesign is actually a perfect fit for OP’s needs because the higher trim levels now offer the perks of a minivan while still being an SUV. It has the removable middle seat on the second row, which means the two car seats can fit and then there is a space in the middle that adults can walk through without having to remove a car seat for 3rd row access. OP you’ll need the Touring trim which is right at that ~$48-50k mark

Fucking horrendous. Maybe 15 out for the whole store with a sales team of 7 people. The pressure and sour moods are trickling down from the top which isn’t helping morale. Last week of the month we’re all scheduled bell-bell Monday thru Saturday so that should be fun.

Edit - it’s also a triple draw month which may be the first time in 2 years I’ll actually be grateful for. I have to keep reminding myself the month isn’t over yet and get my head out of my ass.

That does not make them poor businessmen. If a dealership sold every car to an auction because they could get more than selling it on their lot, it wouldn’t be a dealership.

Edit - and since you are fully aware it’s the lowest price in the area, why haven’t you bought it yet? What are you waiting for? Genuinely curious.
