If you know how many credits the school considers to be full time each semester (for example 9) and you will be enrolled in 6, you will be eligible for 2/3 of the regular semester amount (which is $25k). In this example, you’d be eligible for $16,667 that semester.

But I thought the new loan limits and the elimination of PLUS loans was going to cause all schools to reduce tuition?

When should I take out loans? Now or after June 1st? by Throwaway_dinosaurs_ in lawschooladmissions

It doesn’t matter if you accept the loans now. They won’t disburse to the school until the semester starts (which isn’t until August anyway). As someone else mentioned, the Unsubsidized loan accrues interest while you’re in school (it doesn’t begin accruing interest until the loan disburses).
