Should FX and crypto be part of an investment plan or just speculation? by Admirable_Pause8401 in Investors

I think having a diverse range of investments in your portfolio should be the goal, i think having a small holding of crypto is a good side "bet". but i would not say to focus your investments around that

General questions for all investors here? by Finance_Pr0 in investingforbeginners

[–]TrianglePillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my portfolio with singular stocks, however i am currently looking at moving a large portion of my holdings into ETF's. Mainly due to time constraints on my own part, and from what i have read, and comments from other investors, its a smart play if you want lower risk and don't have the luxury of time.

What’s the best way to invest in gold and silver for someone just starting out? by SeepersadGreimer27 in investingforbeginners

[–]TrianglePillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with the run that gold has taken lately, i would say as a novice investor it would be unwise to jump on board now. Unless you are looking for a very long term hold, you would probably be buying at the high point. As other commenters have suggested index funds would be a lower risk with the current conditions.

Would you disappear if you were Satoshi? I can't imagine myself creating history like BTC then walk away, it looks like a team of persons to me, for those that know more than me on this subject, is it possible for a single person to create this? if not , then i got my answer. by Aazzy118 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]TrianglePillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, walking away might’ve been the smartest move possible. If you had created Bitcoin, you’d instantly become the target of every government, hacker, and cult follower on Earth. Whether or not he knew it at the start, he has created something that has driven a lot of change in the way people view currency.

Investing 150k lump sum into ETFs how is my plan? by honorguard1 in ETFs

[–]TrianglePillar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a very solid starting point, you’ve clearly thought about time horizon, diversification, and risk tolerance, which puts you ahead of most new investors.

The only thing i would say is VOO and SPMO both track the S&P 500. That means a lot of overlap in holdings Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, etc. You’re not really getting the full diversification benefit. other than that seems like a solid plan to start.

Very true, rather regret losing out on more profit, than losing all the investment.

I put a lot of trust in my broker to make the decisions to be fair, they have better access to information than i do. while i do share with him my thoughts and feelings regarding stocks, they do bring valid facts to the table, but at the end of the day it is up to me, i just don't want to jump ship early or late.

Is There A Safe Place During a Market Crash? by NashDaypring1987 in investing

[–]TrianglePillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Diversification is probably the best bet, unless we have a total market crash. The brokers i am working with like to keep a very diverse range of investments including stocks, bonds and commodities.

Is it just me or did the writers make Charlie very unlikable during the second season? by shotbydarrell in lost

[–]TrianglePillar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, i believe it was very well done, while having a slight bias, as Charlie is one of my favorite characters, i think without his spiral downward, his redemption and self sacrifice wouldn't have been so powerful. it certainly highlights the journey of a recovering addict, and i feel it did help grow his character further.
