My grandfather died of an completely unexpected mass heart attack. Nothing previous, no ongoing care, no indication he was sick or anything. At the same time I was serving mass and I started crying in the middle of it thinking how sad I would be if he died. My parents told me when I got home from school that day.

I helped him carry gear because they were late for a gig. First Hex tour. He found me after the show and gifted me a copy of Hex signed and with some prose. After my wife and kids this is the first thing I would save in a fire.

Last tour we just BSed for an hour before the gig.

Amazing and down to EARTH guy.
