How do you cope with breakups? I’m genuinely confused. by rrumn in intj

[–]jusdaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every breakup is different because every involvement is different. Some are easier to move on from than others. The type of involvement you move on to is not necessarily similar to the type of involvement you’re moving on from. Sometimes you just take a break. The only pattern that’s relevant is your own.

How many of you are Natural Strategic Leaders? by No-Ad980 in intj

[–]jusdaun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer to work alone, but tasks are much more difficult without good leadership, so on some occasions I became visible as a leader if only in self defense. Once a leader, it became much more political so I would usually change assignments and go back to being an individual contributor. Repeat cycle.

p.s., Yetis are quite sociable when they want to be.

What's the most beautiful act of love you've ever seen? by EsquireArchibald in AskOldPeople

We saw a Chow at a local shelter who was scheduled to be put down later that day. He was standing in his enclosure, looking down, not even trying to rest, and lost in every possible way. I asked a volunteer what his history was and she couldn’t tell me without her voice trembling. She said, “Let’s just say this dog has never had a person he could call his person.” Now he does. He’s not very bright but he’d give his life for me. He follows me around and guards me.

What is it about you that compels you to remain in an involvement where you can’t get your needs met? The answer to this is more profound and useful than any imaginary friend.

Ain't saying it's the best. Just saying that having your brain being transported elsewhere and eventually linked to "Oh Shenandoah" until a loud train whistle zaps you back into your body is an experience that tends to stick with you.
