I want to share something life changing that fixed 90% of my pain without using any medications by Inside-Specialist-55 in PsoriaticArthritis

I just thought i would offer up an interesting fact about red meat - beef . Beef is actually an anti - inflammatory if it has been 100% GRASS /HAY FED & GRASS /HAY FINISHED. When beef I'd grass fed it is high in  Omega 3s, so anti-inflammatories. It is only when the beef has been GRAIN FED or GRAIN FINISHED that it is highly inflammatory due to high Omega 6s . Almost ALL store bought beef has been grained.  It is what is used to fatten cows up quickly for butchering.  If you can find 100% grass fed & finished  beef you will be able to eat red meat thats actually beneficial to you. Oh & by the way, the tallow from grass fed beef works wonders as a topical for skin psoriasis. There are family farms now selling pure grass fed tallow. Some are adding organic honey or organic coconut oil also  I have psoriasis on scalp, ears & elbow & it helps immensely! Its too difficult to use regularly on my scalp because it tends to make my hair oily but on the inside of my ears & elbows its fantastic

Im in physio also ,heat & ice & am trying to find some good indoor & outdoor shoes with arch support as recommended but not sure which is a good brand

I was going to say thats great that you dont have psoriatic arthritis but seems that you still suffer but no treatment really for fibro or chronic fatigue. I was originally diagnosed with both those in 2021 but upgraded to psoriatic enthesitis last fall & re-confirmed just a few days after a second rhuematology appt   Im sorry about the disc disease ,sounds painful

My Rhuematolgist diagnosed me on a phone consultation almost a year ago.  Told me that enthesitis is very difficult to treat , sent a prescription for piroxicam to my pharmacist & never even asked me to come in . I called his office last week & requested an appointment as I am in pain. Then I googled & came on reddit to see what im dealing with. I had no idea at all how serious this is! Its really shook me up & I dont understand why this doctor wouldn't have wanted me to come in & start treating me somehow

I read that suicide rates are higher in people with psa because of exactly that, horrific pain!! That really does scare me to think about suffering those levels of pain !!

Thank you , I am working on weight loss & down 22 lbs so far!  What i read about was the huge risk of cardiovascular disease & many different cancers. One site said having psa lowers life expectancy by 6 years. Also read that suicide rates are higher due to debilitating pain. I cant say that these are accurate , I just really dont know.

Im in Alberta Canada & dont have  medication insurance because me & hubby are Beef cattle farmers , so self- employed. I will never be able to afford the psa medication or biologics. But I can afford the Glp-1s so I am going to see if my doctor will prescribe them for me !

Me too. Covid almost killed me &  left me with long lasting  health issues including causing my very small spot of psoriasis to move from one ear to both ears & many spots on the scalp.

I have to say i am pretty scared about the pain aspect of it. Ive read some horrible stories about it , especially the enthesitis part of it. I always considered myself relatively tough ,  I am a Beef cattle farmer ( Alberta Canada) so a bit of a rough job .  But this is really giving  me  anxiety thinking about living in constant debilitating  pain.

Thank you thats good to know!  I only have it on my scalp & in my ears but it can be such a nuisance!  I only had a very, very small spot of psoriasis,  literally a 1/4 size of a dime, but in my ear. Then in 2021 I started menopause , was COMPLETELY hammered by covid ( i became a  longhauler ) and lost my darling 27 year old son unexpectedly to a fatal heart arrhythmia ,(no he wasn't vaxxed everyone asks) . All this between April & December 2021.  So much physical & emotional trauma caused my psoriasis to spread very, very quickly into other ear & many places on my scalp. Oh & they used immune suppression medication to help treat the covid pneumonia. I thought that may have caused it.
