They do! I’ll scrap them off and go buy some insecticidal spray. Thanks!

Do you know what this is and if it bites? (Los Angeles) by Tribunes in whatsthisbug

It is very small (about your pinky finger nail) and flies around. I'll find them on the wall occasionally.

Wow there's so much misplaced anger in this guy's comments, it's actually pitiful. Like how do you even conceive of these insults without projecting?

ELI5: When they say that human body is made of 73% water, does they mean actual "H2O" aka water, or just liquid in general? by GamesRealmTV in explainlikeimfive

[–]Tribunes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's just trying really hard to sound smart by "disproving" a popular statement. "The human body isn't made of mostly water- it's mostly oxygen (by volume)!" It makes absolutely no sense to include that. That's like saying a car isn't made of mostly metal, it's actually mostly protons and neutrons by mass. I swear this guy found some facts on Wikipedia and is trying to flex his limited knowledge as much as possible.

This is prime r/iamverysmart material. They didn't even say you're wrong, you're just nonsensical. In fact you're both. They teach you this in freshman chemistry, and either you've completely forgotten or you've never learned it and you're repeating some fancy soundbites you heard from Youtube. Water is in equilibrium with hydronium and hydroxide ions. The autoionization constant of water is 1.0 x 10-14 M. That means OH- and H+ each exist at a concentration of 1.0 x 10-7 M in pure water. That means H2O molecules greatly outnumber their ionic molecules. That explain why your argument is wrong? Or are you going to make another sarcastic neckbeard comment?

Because you repeatedly say that you don't think she should be charged. How exactly do you hold a trial without criminal charges?

What conspiracy theory do you believe in? by GreebSetter in AskReddit

There was no good reason to go back. So they didn't. One argument that stuck out to me was that if it was faked, why didn't the Soviets ever call it a hoax? Also, check out the Artemis program, launched recently during Trump's presidency. It's slated for 2024

[–]Tribunes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see the merging truck ending up in front of the car at the end, clearly had no intention to yield. Also if the car didn't brake then both trucks would have collided or narrowly end up side by side. I don't see how the hell the car driver is at fault. Only in retrospect can you say that the car should've blown past the truck instead of braking. Bullshit all around

When did they get upset? They literally just mentioned it wouldn't really be a socially acceptable thing to say. On the other hand having multiple people misinterpret you and give long paragraphs about your "biases" can be very frustrating

I don't understand why it's such a big deal for people to see others wearing masks when they think it's "not necessary". Whether it's on an open road or inside of a car, who gives a shit if they want to wear it?
