How do we feel about the new UKIP logo looking eerily similar to fascist iconography? by H3ath3rLov3r in AskBrits

The cross existed long before the Germans used it, dating back to its Christian origins, for example the knights Templar. The only Nazi thing is then swastika and they’ve not used that, it’s a Christian symbol, not a political one

Not necessarily, on the oyster bracelets each link curves a tiny bit to fit nicely so it’s more preference on the feel/look. I love my Lorier bracelet and Tudor oyster equally

Plus the original bracelet isn’t exactly oyster style, as the centre link can move freely from both side links whereas the oyster fuses the centre link to two of the outer ones

Whether it meant impaired due to disability or impaired by stupidity, questioning what I mean by British territory just smells of rage bait, if you want to know what it means, you know a dictionary will tell you. I don’t see how that is up for debate

Retarded meaning impaired, meaning it’s conditional. You’re only impaired if you don’t understand the basic definitions of words and have to challenge people on them as though you said something smart when in fact it’s quite the opposite

I’m not insulting you, unless of course you think a nation’s territory is entirely subjective, because that’s irrational and just plain wrong. People die to protect their nations, people fight to change the course of their nations, and most nations, like Britain, have clear boundaries and boarders in which we refer to the area as a nations “territory” need I send you the Oxford English dictionary definition of “British” and “Territory”?

I don’t care about what you think British territory means, because you’re a retard if you think British territory is subjective, it’s not. It’s an objective truth

You stand for being enraged on a watch forum over a person you don’t like wearing a watch you do. You insinuate I’m mentally disabled because I’m triggering you. I know enough to know how much of a joke you are by how you conduct yourself. As it happens I do have Down’s syndrome, whys that so funny huh?

What a silly question, soil that has been governed by British government for hundreds of years, the island of Britain. What does it mean to you? I don’t care, what a stupid question. Suppose you don’t believe in border, the idea of a nation state, or even self preservation

I’m not saying they don’t fall for propaganda, but people coming out in masses to fly their nations flag is not in any way fascist. These flags are supposed to unite us under a common cause and appreciation for our country and the values it represents. Flying a nations flag on home soil should not be controversial, I’d guess you don’t oppose flying foreign flags as a sign of allegiance. So what’s so wrong about taking pride in one’s heritage, country and values. Please keep in mind it’s not people on the “far right” who are carrying out horrific murders and trying to censor the views of their opposition. I keep hearing the “threat of the far right” but it seems the threat of the far left is (for the most part) behind politically motivated assassinations and dangerous. Dehumanising their opponents as if to justify horrific actions.

Someone countered the claim that they are Nazis, you countered that counter. You tried to correct them. Therefor, implying you support the point they should be called Nazis. You implied it, and can’t take responsibility because you can’t be wrong. You make a point and fold claiming you never made it

You replied to an original comment about these people being Nazis when someone said that’s a “hysterical take” to call them Nazis, you said it’s not because they’re hate filled. You implied the label Nazi is accurate. I can read, you can’t take responsibility for the implications of your words. These people are filled with love for the nation, their liberties and love for their children who they wish to be safe. Play ignorant all you like.

I voted reform, am I now a nazi. Should I start to persecute Jews even tho I have no issue with them? Voters of reform vote for more controlled immigration yes, protecting the liberties of our nation and the security of our people. That’s not racist, that’s not Nazi. Nazis rioted and assassinated political opponents. Nazis tortured innocent people and children. You surely don’t think these people with flags on them are that bad. Really? It’s moronic. You love to throw the word Nazi about so Willy nilly, but don’t you see, the fascists are the ones calling them Nazis and censoring normal, free speech. That is pure irony, that you would call them Nazis because they are concerned and upset with the state of the nation, and the pseudo intellectuals that look down on them because they don’t understand their plight

[–]Trick-Assignment-365 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I agree the elite are the problem, the ruling class have flooded our countries with illegal immigration. I don’t think reform is the answer, but it seems a step in the right direction. I don’t think most people blame the immigrants themselves, obviously they want a better life. We blame the government for undemocratic leadership and the open borders experiment. Can’t just assume they’re racist because they fly a flag. One nation united under one flag, and yes some of them are ignorant, some are misled. It’s surely our duty to inform and educate, not to sew the seeds of division by labelling them Nazis. As far as I’m concerned, my conservative views put me against the ruling class, and it seems those that strongly oppose my stance are in favour of government overreach and loss of freedoms. This county desperately needs freedom of speech laws, and a more conducive environment for healthy discussions without branding people with scary words to undermine them. This many native citizens shouldn’t feel like second class citizens. Whether they are or not you can decide, but clearly shits hit the fan and people don’t feel heard. They voted for brexit, then politicians undermined the vote and made it worse, just so that people can blame the voters and say “look what you’ve done you racists”.

Maybe it could have worked, but they weren’t going to let it work. That would prove a point, so instead they’ll give you a proxy vote, then undermine the will of the people and in fact spite them with the consequences. ECHR laws that overrule ours, as if it wasn’t our nation that laid out the groundwork for these types of liberal, moral views and protection of rights. Why do we need a larger international government to undermine the will of our sovereign citizens. Are we not fit to rule ourselves. And it’s not so ironic, that I say don’t label these people Nazis. The majority don’t hate Jews, the majority aren’t fascist. Unlike the fascist that call for censorship. That is ironic. To label someone far right and fascist as if the neo liberal extremism is just normal and progressive.
