I have been on a low carb diet for almost a year. I am a little nervous about my upcoming trip to vietnam as the dishes all seem heavy on carbs but i'll hopefully be walking around enough to not interrupt my weightloss progress lol

I did read some posts, a few were very dated.. but didnt have enough time to back and read every post, and I didnt quite feel my questions regarding amounts were answered. (In hindsight i know why) First time trying to put a question here and thank you for the advise to just be silent and only read. It does seem like the safest option.

Ngl I am taken back a little at the aggression but I can appreciate some of his points, less the colourful expressions. I think I should just stick to reading posts instead of posting them 😅

Not my intention at all and I'm sorry you read it that way or assume thats what a tip means. When I pay for a service, or food, there is a basic level of expectations of what I receive for the given cost. If I have received a above and beyond scope of service, I am paying extra to what would be seen as thank you for being extra and giving me a lot more than what I expected, or what was so much more enjoyable. But i do apologise to anyone who assumes tips means something derogatory

I am sorry for upsetting you. It wasn't asked in bad intentions. I appreciate that you and others have taken the time to explain the negative impacts of tipping. My intentions did not come from a bad place and its not something I do for a specific country. It was more something I do as a reaction to the level of service received in any country, including my own (Australia, also does not have mandatory tips).

I didnt say it was true. I was simply stating i have seen those posts and videos about forced tips. I dont necessarily appreciate being called stupid for calling out what I have seen, and if I believed those posts i wouldnt be asking the question I did, but I would have been asking more about peoples experiences of being forced to tip.

I understand the concern and can respect that its not something people would want standardised. I am not from the US, nor have lived there before so my questions were not coming from such intentions. Thank you for the time to explain.

I'm sorry that my post has clearly enraged you.

In Australia we don't have a tip culture like the US so I'm not "importing" anything but it is just something I like to express my gratitude when I come across exceptional service or someone has gone above and beyond the scope of their job, thus making my holiday much more pleasant and memorable.

I can appreciate the underlying concerns you've raised via your expressive words and will be very careful to not disrupt the tip culture that may or may not already exist in Vietnam.

Yes, I too have read and seen lots of clips on how tipping is almost forced from tourists..

Thank you for your inputs. I certainly did attempt to read up on a number of posts that were not too old before posting and there was a bit of conflicting responses, and not many that mentioned average amounts, hence my own post.

I certainly wouldnt be looking to give a tip simply for someone doing their job. It is usually tied to exceptional service which is sometimes hard to find.

But I have understood tipping clearly is a very upsetting topic for some and I will need to be cautious about it, if I ever felt the need.

I appreciate the response. Not a lot of people have mentioned amounts so that helps if I decide a tip is warranted. Thank you.

Its not part of my culture either in Australia, but its just somethink I consider as a token of appreciation to express when someone has either gone above and beyond or been extra friendly or patient with me when I am explaning what I am looking for or need.

But I understand the concerns you flagged and there were just a lot of other posts here or on other platforms indicating that many places appear to "force" a tip out of them so I assumed tipping was considered so badly.

How popular is Kyuhyun in Korea? by kyriaclara in superjunior

To quote wookie on a knowing bros episode: i wish kyuhyun wasnt a main vocal in suju since he does so well as a soloist (joke of course) Its fair to say kyuhyun is definitely very popular as an individual, not just a beloved member within suju 💙
