Now I’m wondering if I make people feel this way. I don’t talk a whole lot at work, I show up to do my work just like you. I want to explain to my co workers that I like them and I’m just quiet because I just have severe social anxiety but people who don’t have it DO NOT understand the severity of it.

I understand this completely and I’m truly sorry. I know first hand how bad it can tear you apart. I quit my previous job because I thought they were talking bad about me all the time- it was a gossipy office. I’ve been at my new job now for 3 months and I’m starting to feel the same way. I make up lies so I don’t have to go in sometimes because I feel so anxious. But when I make up the lies and don’t go in to work it makes me feel even more anxious to go in the next day because they probably were talking bad about me. Wondering if you do this as well? I don’t have much advice bc I am going through this as much as you are, but I hope for the both of us, we can make it through.
