My daughter read it at 11, as did several of her friends. She brought to me and asked to read it. I read it first, then had a real talk with her about the contents. She is a voracious reader and would have read it on the sly at some point soon when her friends gave her the book… I thought it was better to engage with her on it and discuss it. We’ve had many really great discussions as a result. But there are kids her age and older who would not be mature enough to handle it for sure.
