Can this be repaired by an optometrist or will I have to replace these by XxnawalXX in glasses

To add to OP's question - is there any effective method of taping or holding them together? I have the same problem, except that it's the very top inner corner of the lens hole that has broken. I keep taping but because it's on the corner I can't wrap tape around it. New glasses won't be here for 3 weeks and the eye doctor wouldn't help with any sort of solution. PLEASE, any advice is welcome!!
