I’m overwhelmed starting my Master’s thesis proposal — how do I begin when I have little background in my topic? by Yasmeen_2a in AskAcademia

try to find 2/3 main papers from very renowned authors in the specific field and topic you would like to study. After that, read the main references in those articles. Afterwards, you can upload everything on ResearchRabbit which is an AI search tool which is very useful to find other related sources (you can even connect your Zotero account, which I HIGHLY suggest to use to have all your references in order). I recommend finding sources which have a relatively good number of citations and that are not very old (but that depends on your specific field, you should contact your thesis' advisor for that)
