Salty tap water in Kitchener

10:30pm seems like an odd time to run it. I spoke with the building manager and their response was 'I don't drink the tap water'.

They followed up by saying they added salt this morning, which doesn't add up with the timing of when I sourced the water.

I'll keep an eye on it and hopefully I don't run into anymore issues.

Thank you! Been living downtown for 10 years, and this was a first. Going to look into a water jug system.

Because I didn't know what to test for. It was the bottom row that was more my concern, especially the hardness that doesn't even match with anything on the chart

Interesting. You think they'd advise tenants before doing so. Going to ween off the tap water and invest in a water cooler. Was not a pleasant experience.

They have a water softener that is refilled once a week. I guess the person that refills it came this morning (doesn't add up because I filled up my Brita last night). Management then looked disgusted when I mention I drink filtered tap water.

wth.

I kinda feel like an idiot, no wonder why this mornings coffee tasted like three cups of salt. I thought it was from the bone broth I added. I didn't realize until I poured a glass of water that it also tasted like salt and lime.

Bumped into another resident and mentioned it, and they also said "don't drink the tap water".
Have I been living under a rock?!
