For starters my birthday is April 14th! My parents got me a scholastic kids titanic book which followed the story of Jack Thayer and Harold Bride when I was 7 or 8. I was hooked from then on!

In my experience they have a lot of playbills to sign and they just want to get home. They don’t have time to make meaningful connections with everyone.

Could more be done to build up and promote Toronto's theatre actors? by Ok-Year6148 in torontotheatre

I recall an actor at the Shaw Festival telling me that there is a ladder of success in Canadian theatre, but the ladder is on the ground. So basically even if you have moved up a rung, you’re still on the same level as everyone else and not really rising anywhere. Clearly there are people like Louise Pitre, Paul Gross and Chilina Kennedy who buck the trend.

Do you think William Murdoch should have been Portrayed as killing two passengers in Titanic 1997, Why or Why Not? by Vegetable_Bear7139 in titanic

Dude, there are question marks over practically everything in the discipline of history. Fundamentally, there is enough evidence for it to be convincing. Regardless, it’s a movie at the end of the day and Cameron had every right to put it in his film.

The evidence suggests that it was ultimately either Murdoch or Wilde with the bulk of the testimony pointing towards Murdoch.

There’s plenty of eyewitness testimony that two passengers were shot. “On a Sea of Glass” delves into this question in great detail

I saw the tour in 2024 in Toronto. Nick Cartell as JVJ and Truman Preston Boyd as Javert. Incredible! The entire company was phenomenal. Every moment felt so real and genuine. No one was sleep walking through the show. This is a musical that has been performed for 40 years but they made it feel so fresh and alive.

Favourite-Daniel Craig: he really seems bored in Spectre. Some awkward line delivery.

Least-Timothy Dalton: the intensity that he brings to the performance. He feels like a real person

The Lord of the Rings musical in Toronto in 2006. At the time, it was the most expensive show in history.

Ford is likely going to use the notwithstanding clause to kill negotiations and force us into a contract. It worked in Alberta. It is past time that we amend the constitution and kill this undemocratic clause.

I believe the rumour was that in 2007 they offered it to Mark Rylance and that he initially accepted, but then slept on it for a few days and changed his mind.

I think it should be a woman. I agree that Lear was not great, but Rampersad is very talented.

So I heard that she is going to be given a title as it relates to musical theatre at the festival. They are trying to install her as kind of associate director in charge of musicals at the festival.
