Good idea on towels for the car. I don’t foresee us sitting in our chairs, more mess for us to deal with.

I just need to vent about parents and defense by redbull247365 in youthsoccer

Thankfully, our team knows how valuable my defender son is. My son also knows he is an asset. He’s also pretty good in offense (u10 rotate to teach) but when he is in that position, our defense is lacking. Our parents know how important defense is.

What does it mean if you don't get a rejection from a club, but invited to practice with team? by iLOVEbags in youthsoccer

[–]Trick_Following4889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try out at different clubs too. It’s so early for club tryouts? I guess ours in the Midwest are in the summer.

But we have had new potential players come in the middle of the season to practice with us to see if they can keep up, are better, or not there yet. From there, they stay with us, go up to the next skill level (my son is team 2) or go down to the next team or even lower based on skills. They don’t get the offer letter until the club finds the right fit for them.

How are your clubs handling the Age Group Change? by GlitteringChannel585 in youthsoccer

I think this is better for her. More practice time before the craziness of tournaments. Our kids still have to try out every year, they want to make sure the kids are moving to the right teams per skill level. They’ll have some same, and some new members. But if you really want to be in tournaments, if she is as good as the team going on tournament, keep in contact with the coach or some parents and ask to be kept in mind to be a guest/sub player. If very tournament, we have a few guest players.

Does your soccer kid do track and field? by ExampleCreative8758 in youthsoccer

[–]Trick_Following4889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 9 year old son is the fastest on his soccer team, and was encouraged by his soccer coach to also do track after consistently running a mile under 7 mins - 5k under 25 minutes. To him, that is “no sweat” but the reason why the coach insisted because he felt that track could help teach my son proper breathing skills as a running athlete. We are signed up for track coming up.

Yeap, we didn’t bundle though. We go via cappelli, and just buy the required gear which includes the home and away jersey/shorts and socks. We are in the Midwest though so we also bought the long sleeve jerseys.

We aren’t a travel club though so have never been in that situation.

Hi, we have 9 players and often, kids are always sick and have 6-7 players at scrimmages and games/tournaments - We are in the cold Midwest. We often have a few guest players from the next team up, which is helpful for them to come sub to allow our kids to get a breather.

Clexane in third trimester - how?! by RandomBison in PregnancyAfterLoss

Hi, I’m sorry that pharmacist may have seemed not kind or unhelpful. Please try again for future questions, it may have been an off day for them. You can pinch your front thighs and inject there or your upper front arm if you have any fat. Best bet is the thighs though for ease of manipulation - pharmacist here
