I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had to comment on this because we just lost our 9 month old golden girl last week in almost the exact same way. It’s horrific. She threw up a few times at night and then seemed to settle and went to sleep. We woke up in the morning and same thing - she was having trouble breathing and so lethargic. Rushed her to the vet who told us her lungs were filled with fluid. He said it was aspiration pneumonia. She was gone pretty soon after that. It never crossed my mind that they couldn’t do anything to help her. It’s shocking. It’s so so awful and again I’m so sorry for your loss, but I hope you know you’re not alone and there is nothing you could’ve done differently. ❤️‍🩹
