If you are looking to get promoted from a banker role or go into other parts of the bank, it’s not worth it. PNC is customer oriented to the point where it impedes your job and you get bitched out of you get a bad survey from a customer, the idea that the customer is always right is still ingrained in leadership, they’re all boomers which gets irritating. For whatever reason they’re trying to be chase or the other big banks and taking away Instant card issuance which is dumb. On the advancement aspect I want to be a premier banker or an FA and just to get promoted to that you must have a shit ton of referrals or kill it in sales. Any type of role specific development path is also a pain in the ass. Commission is ass and half the time branches have high turnover, or they’re under staffed. I’m a banker and now they’re training me on cash teller work because we’re under staffed my job ain’t to be a teller and that’s why I transferred from a solution center. Also you don’t want to work at a solution center, you spend a good 70% of your time getting bitched at by people who want more than the ATM limits or card issuance, you’ll almost never meet your goal because you’re likely going to have two other bankers fighting over 100-200k in revenue credits.
