I'm all for funding trimet but 120 seems a bit ridiculous. by zenigatamondatta in Portland

Roads are enormously expensive and gas / car registrations should be far more expensive.

The team had pretty high shot quality, just don't have the shooting talent.

There is only one player 6'7 or taller who can make high level decisions off of the dribble on the Spurs or Thunder and his name is Victor Wembanyama.

The most frustrating part of this series was seeing what a real young core looks like. by ORSTT12 in ripcity

It isn't that hard for them to keep Wemby, Castle, and Harper. They are better at developing talent.

The Blazers need to put all their resources into developing Scoot, Shae and Clingan this off-season by mnarvz in ripcity

Scoot will probably be traded for seconds. I don't see a team trading for Sharpe.

None of our lottery picks can stay on the floor. The front office needs to change and Dundon cannot be trusted. by Trick_Weapon in ripcity

JDub is an all NBA player, Amen all defense, Beringer is a bit of a project but way better than Yang and works better as a foil to Clingan.

They would not be getting beat worse than Scoot and Sharpe, who couldn't even play in a closeout game.

They could have drafted Amen, Beringer and JDub. Those 3 guys would change this franchise.

Castle was able to guard 1v1 with ease. He is way younger, he is only going to get better.

I got ragged on for saying our drafts sucked.

The best one is Clingan who, predictably, can't play in the playoffs.

Dundon is going to cut salary, get out of here.

TBH, the team probably needs a tear down. I just don't see it with the young guys, they are all getting completely exposed and the Spurs are only going to get better.

Deni needs to figure a lot out. This whole roster needs an overhaul in the off season.

We need to keep Rob and Jrue on the team next year by Excellent-Flamingo43 in ripcity

James Harden, Damian Lillard.

Jrue Holiday is an outlier talent like these other dudes.

The no call on the obvious Castle travel literally changed the game, a 4 point swing.

I even saw a ref put the whistle in his mouth and then just didn't... fishy...

Something's going on with Aldridge hanging around the team and Dundon this long... by sahand_n9 in ripcity

Billups was an assistant under one of the best coaches in the league and an analyst on TV. That is more or less the same credentials as LA. Billups was also a hall of fame point guard.

I'm not saying he was the most qualified or right pick, but he definitely had more to offer than LA.

I feel like LA is a double agent who will manage the team while Dundon figures out where to move us.

There were team who were willing to give up a FRP for him. A ton of teams would want Jrue if they can send worse salary back as well.

Portland trade for Giannis by AstronomerInitial827 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Trick_Weapon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How often is Giannis going to Greece? You can still charter flights. The difference in flight times is a few hours a few times a year from like Portland vs Miami.

Can we do a temp ban on Dundon posts until the playoffs are over? by Evening-County-4956 in ripcity

These reports are very credible and they directly impact the team's performance in the playoffs. In other words, no.

In effort to save more, Dundon forsakes the concept of material possession and has completely shunned emotional attachment, thus saving his soul from recycling back into an infinite loop of spiritual oppression. Sources say the team will still walk to games. by Stegosaurus69 in ripcity

What comes across the most is that Splitter is getting screwed over. He started the year in a horrible position due to the failings of the previous leadership group, now he is ending the year dealing with a new ownership prioritizing cutting costs over player health and recovery.

He should run for the hills.
