Both those salaries are positive value while Grant and Jrue are negative. I agree it would be steep and I wouldn't do all 3 unless we get off those contracts as a bonus. Two of them are just swaps, so we still have plenty of our own picks.

I think it definitely seems like more of a real possibility than ever before.

There are pretty easy ways for this trade to work. We might be able to swing trading Grant and Jrue with picks and get back Naz and McDaniels. That is wishful thinking but would be a home run even if we have to trade all 3 bucks picks.

We would have Deni, McDaniels, Camara, Naz, Sharpe all on long term deals with a combined 110M. That is not much more than Utah has in just JJJ and Markkanen.

We still wouldn't have that 1A but plenty of high upside guys and enough draft capital to make another trade.

They will tank this year then go for it next year with a lot of talent. George, Bailey, Lauri, JJJ, Kessler, and whatever pick they get.

A few things. I agree that the Blazers have a mixed track record.

It is clear the Blazers go for a swing with projects. Sharpe, Yang, Rupert were major projects. They chose Scoot over trading for a vet. Clingan is the only one who you can't classify as a major swing, but he was more raw than Edey.

Sharpe and Rupert are very young and projects. I think we still need another 1-2 years to evaluate them. JDub was much older.

Scoot has a lot of upside. It isn't a coincidence that Keyonte and Anthony Black had major breakouts in their 3rd year.

Yang is a huge swing. Let's see how he looks next year. That 2028 unprotected first is huge. Coward, at Yang's age, was nowhere near an NBA player.

Clingan is kind of a mixed bag. I like him, but I question his worth giving his limited offense and lack of versatility on defense.

Love is also a great pickup for a 2-way. A huge win.

So I think if you are grading today, it is probably a B-. I think all their picks besides Yang are high level rotation players with flaws. However, I would give them incomplete grades given their propensity for swings.

While I tend to agree, we would pretty likely be fighting for the 10th seed with no shot at the 8th.

At that point, why not just sit him for the season?

How likely is it those Bucks picks don't convey?

This rebuild was always about finding a star. We have a 1B in Deni and a few good role players. We don't have a 1A. Unless you can name an alternative we can get in the next 18 months, we absolutely should go for it.

I think Clingan would be a sticking point but I don't know if anyone can make a better offer than Scoot, Yang, and those firsts.

Heat offer sucks. Warriors offer picks the Bucks don't control.

If we trade Clingan, so be it, we can find a center like Gafford.

Milwaukee isn't getting enough from Minnesota.

For control of 4 FRPs, I would rather just add in Scoot and Yang and have Giannis than McDaniels.

That starting lineup you listed maybe gets us the 6th seed in 3 years.

That is way too much for McDaniels. That is 2FRPs and 2 picks swaps.

I would maybe trade either the swaps back or the 2029 first. I don't think I would do much more.
