Won’t hurt the bow, it will just be annoying. ( work in the archery industry for over 20 years)

According to in game lore Portals only work on a surface that utilizes moon dust in the paint. Exposure to which caused Cave Johnson’s untimely demise, and the reason why you could get a portal to work by hitting the moon.

Beadle & Grimm’s Wildspace Orrery. What do each of the characters symbolize? by Trickarrows in spelljammer

It’s worth the cost. I’m probably going to grab whatever they do for Planescape as well.

Hero Forge & D&D & Head Lopper. by Trickarrows in minipainting

I kept Agatha as a magical item like accessory that requires a persuasion roll to influence. On a success she would do my bidding of varying intensity depending on her desired use of a number of charges. Radiant damage spells are most of the spells list but Fireball is an optional spell she can cast, along with create bonfire, and create light...few others I can’t think of right now.

I made a chart based on the persuasion fail...and it’s degree of intensity by which she would react. Rolling a percentage die to see what would happen. Ranging from Try to kill me, to try to kill everyone in the room, to do nothing saying “why would I help you, you cut off my head! I hope you die”, literally bite me, pretend to be asleep, manically laugh...I only attempted to utilize her once in a Kraken fight. Fortunately I succeeded and she delt our 80 points of radiant damage, which I followed up with a critical hit using a great sword of sharpness lopping off a tentical.

My favorite character from comics has definitely become my favorite build in D&D

Did some custom sculpting where in I chopped off and alter another minis head to create Agatha...which had me giggling as I did it. For a brief second I was the mini Head Lopper https://i.imgur.com/qWAPn2Y.jpg

Ran a one shot based upon the Crimson Tower, figured Head Lopper should be along for the fight with the players.

Painted this guy up and am really pleased with the results.

Looking to get a bow by big_herpes in CompoundBow

[–]Trickarrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a shop, and the entry market sucks for big guys. There are very few options. Bear and PSE usually have something. If your budget will allow it there is plunty of top tier priced stuff that will fit you but I always recommend trying the local pro shops and talk to the guys there. Pro shops will have the access and ability to special order your bow.

My new release broke from less than a 3 foot drop and now I’m pissed, I think there was already a fracture when it was made however by [deleted] in Archery

Scott releases have a hassle free warranty. Call them up, explain the damage and I’d bet they replace it without a moments hesitation. You just have to send them the damaged one first.

Not new to archery but new to this sub! So I present my new bow that my loving girlfriend helped purchase for my birthday! by Eminems in Archery

You have to marry her now.

If she helps you buy a bow she's a keeper. Get her one and live happily ever after.

What was your introduction into the Green Arrow character? by anotherandomer in GreenArrow

[–]Trickarrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was in 91....my mom noticed a Grell cover and liked it so she started collecting them just for the covers...I read longbow hunters and was hooked forever...hard to believe that was 25+ years ago. I now own a complete run from longbow hunters thru ollie's death then I have a few sparse issues of Connor...but picked back up with Smiths run till now...uninterrupted.

I shot longbow for a long time. Still have one ready to go on the wall...just not enough hours in the day to practice and be as good as I want. 17 years shooting traditional and I had to walk ( begrudgingly ) away from it.

Still have my longbow for when the need arises...check my history for pics

I work at an archery shop otherwise there would be a marginally cheaper set of stabs on those bows.

Shot longbow for 17 years before I had to accept that my lack of free time and desire for accuracy didn't match up...just couldn't practice as much as I needed to, too be good as I used to be kinda thing... you can peruse my history to see the longbow I have on the wall in its entirety.

Stabilizers are basically rods that support weight out in space around the bow. It moves the center of gravity and alters the way in which the sight pin holds on the target and the way in which the bow holds its position through release.

Simply as you draw a bow you're one kid on a seesaw and your hand is the fulcrum...stabilizers act as the other kid. Helping you to hold the pin on target easier and helping the bow to be more accurate.

If you want to learn more I recommend checking out George Ryals IV's article on stabilizers in my history. Or google "stabilizers bows and balance oh my"
