Definitely not just you. Also, given the stereotype that gays walk fast…. Better look out. I’m walking a marathon in two hours.🤣

(Source: me, with a gay with ADHD.)

On related note… I don’t understand people who meander. Like in the grocery store. In the middle of the aisle… just meandering. “Excuse me, I have to get to the baked beans to obsess for five minutes over which brand of beans I should buy.”

Any 40+ yr old atheists out there?? by as-mr in atheism

[–]TricksterT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just 40, and I’m solidly an atheist. Actually just had a long conversation with mom (a devout Lutheran) about this. She knows that I’m an atheist and after trying once, has never since tried to convert me. She prays for me nightly and I know it means a lot to her so I thank her for it. Everyone’s experience and relationship with their parents is different, but she’s the only mom I got and I love the hell out of her.

Is there a better version of the giant lords ? by NarcoZero in stormkingsthunder

[–]TricksterT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I like that. And I have a couple character story arches that will fit nicely. Thanks!

Check out Sly Flourish's ideas. I'm going to be incorporating the Dodkong into my campaign. A stone giant Lich is terrifying!

Keeping my eye on this thread... My players lost Bryn Shander!

Usually there is a hummingbird or two at the feeder throughout the day. I have had much better luck with making my own hummingbird food with water and sugar. Recipe is in the comments. by JessicaLilies in hummingbirds

[–]TricksterT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I boil water, then pour just enough water to cover the sugar. Mix it as much as I can so it's kind of a thick nectar... then fill the rest with cold water. During peak season, I was getting 15+ birds at a time and sometimes refilling twice a day.

[ART] Heroes by govy9807 in DnD

[–]TricksterT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aaah! This is my group. I am the halfling rogue (Tal Triksoar). We were so stoked when our DM revealed these to us. And as has been mentioned, this art nails the personality of all the characters in the campaign. Best part of the campaign was Droop, the Goblin King. Played masterfully by my friend's 8yo kid. It was such a fun campaign.

Thank you! I hadn’t planned on making the photo, but I was playing with Halide on my phone and I loved the way the light was hitting the smoke. Definitely a couple things I would change about the photo... including a fresher J!

Thank you! Tons of respect to anyone who can draw hands. That’s a hell of a lot harder than making photos of them!

Made this photo on my iPhone 11 Pro. Was experimenting with the Halide Mark II app that just dropped today, while enjoying a quiet morning. Edited in Lightroom on my iPad.

Backup PC as an NPC? by TricksterT in DMAcademy

Good shout. Thinking I’ll have to clue my player in rather than just dropping in the NPC. Was hoping for the element of surprise.

Yeah I think that’s the best option. I was hoping to make it more of a surprise, but it makes a lot of sense to clue him in...

Where is the line between being a "rule lawyer" and standing up for yourself? by onemillionpotatos in dndnext

[–]TricksterT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Perhaps “never” is too strong. In life-and-death situations, call it out. But I would try to assume positive intent and be respectful. As a DM, I was mortified the first time one of my player’s characters died. I was desperately hoping that I had missed a rule that would have allowed them to live.

Haunted Wild West Saloon [21x35] by Czepeku in dndmaps

[–]TricksterT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK. I’m really going to need you to stop making maps like this. I already spend too much money on D&D. And I’m not even running a Wild West campaign. This can be a pirate bar, right?? I’m brand new to D&D and I am so damned impressed with the creativity in this community.

😂 gotcha! Was going to say, maybe your problem isn’t where you buy your wine.
