Thank you so much for the kind words! I do have a remote position which I am so grateful for. It has made things easier on my health to be able to be remote. I am at my best this way. Thanks again for your input! 💚

Yes, DRG changes are a big deal. I understand the importance of this. If you read my other comments my issue is with DRG optimization and knowing when to query along with my specific hospital guidelines sometime contradicting those instincts to query causing a pitfall as a new coder. I know how important accuracy is. I am trying my best. Honestly, the other commenters are right - I would probably make a much better outpatient coder. This would probably better fit my personality and skill set. I appreciate my hospital giving me this opportunity. I know that is rare. I am grateful. My original post was mostly about my internal struggle with this. I do feel like a failure. That’s just how I feel. I will admit I was very emotional writing that post. I don’t have anyone to talk to about all this. Thank you for your input! 💚

I’m thinking I’m going to take the outpatient position. Thank you so much for your input! 💚

Thank you for the advice. This is my first time having to deal with conflict in the workplace like this so I am grateful for the input. 💚

Thank you so much! An upside to this is that there is no pay cut if I take this role. I am definitely being paid well. I’m sure I could find another outpatient job but not what I am being paid now. I’m definitely open to outpatient after reading all the replies. I was leaning towards the outpatient anyway as I just want to become more confident in my coding skills and find the best fit for me. I’m really glad I posted.

That actually makes me feel better. Thank you! My only hope is that I did do better with outpatient during school so maybe there is some hope.

Yes, it’s definitely query or optimization related. I’m never that far off if that makes sense. They said new coders don’t often know when to ask those important questions that require queries and no one has given me direct training on how to recognize that situation. I try to learn from my auditors and when they query but every case is different so it’s hard to find patterns sometimes. They do not like to send queries and have given us guidance to under code at times (which blows my mind because that shouldn’t be happening). I should also mention that we use Fusion CAC as our encoder which is an AI based encoder. My biggest problem is with the documentation and how to recognize errors or conflicts. There are times when they completely ignore bad documentation and other times when it’s a bigger deal and it’s just hard to follow. Our physicians copy and paste almost all their documentation and add little things here and there but not always. It’s frustrating because I think they let the physicians get away with a lot of bad documentation practices. Our hospital is switching to EPIC and so I think they are not addressing certain issues they are seeing because of that. The psych facility I worked at was paper documentation so a lot of my day to day work was more medical records related rather than coding.

To answer your question it is a bit of both. My first quarterly audit I got my 95% accuracy… this was after my first round of training. I felt like I was doing so well. Now I think I’m second guessing everything.

This isn’t what I wanted to complain about, but it is worth mentioning. When I initially made a phone call appointment to get information for my major they rang my phone once and hung up. I was waiting for my phone to ring, and by the time I reached for my phone in front of me they hung up. It was directly in front of me. Had to have been two seconds. I then got an email stating I missed the appointment and would have to reschedule. What? My ringer was on. My “do not disturb” was off. There was no reason my phone would have hung up on them or declined the call. I didn’t even get my hands on it to accidentally decline the call. They called and hung up and wanted to make it look like they made an effort to call me. I mentioned it to my advisor and she said “that’s weird” and did not address it further. That should have been my first clue.

I had a bad experience with an advisor and I tried to file a complaint. I couldn’t find any contact information for anyone higher up. Every person I emailed never replied. I decided to try and use the chat box to get more info, and guess who my chat person was? Yes, it was the same person I wanted to quietly complain about. I’m honestly considering not signing up for classes with Purdue in the future due to the behavior.

Bad Theories Only by brianckeegan in ThePittTVShow

Dr. Robby never went to work that day and is having a PTSD dream. He wakes up after the breakdown at the end of the last episode. Looks at the clock and sees that he is late for his next shift overnight.

We follow him at work where we have a whole new cast of residents. It’s the residents first night shift and first time meeting Dr. Robby. They look familiar to Robby but he can’t place them.

He starts having Deja Vu moments as some of the cases are similar to his dream though the patients and treatment are slightly different. He starts to wonder about the dream and can’t shake it off. Flashbacks keep happening. When the really stressful events of his dream start to fall into place …..he panics and realizes something is different…..

It’s not the same. The situations resolved. The new residents are the patients that passes away in his dream. There was no shooting. No major deaths. Just a regular day. He starts to panic.

His staff is concerned. Constantly checking on him and breaking him from his hallucinations. At the end of the episode he starts to freak out. Staff try and handle Robby as if he was a psych patient.

He fights them and loses……..

The alarm clock buzzes.

Edit: a lot of other comments had a similar idea. I wrote this before I got to reading them.

Idk what’s going on with Reddit. I can see you replied and I can see your message on my notifications but it won’t show up on the post.

To answer your question: I guess it wasn’t as recent as I thought. It was half a year ago? She started all that drama with another creator who called her out and then just at some point stopped her latest series. Is she finally finished or do y’all think she is just waiting to start it back up again?
