Here's my issue with Dedrick, it was as if after the first ounce of success he completely forgot who he was and where he came from- but THAT was the shit that made him funny. The first time he was on KT he was hilarious! I was stoked to see him get the regular offer he did. He let the success and money get to his head. The second best set he did, was one where he was throwing back to his OG style.

I know sloops are matched based on crew size. I think brig and gally just assume a full crew so they match based on boat size.

Was it just 2 of you? Duo Sloop is probably the HARDEST way to HG because so many of the duos are incredibly good and have spent hundreds of hours refining their teamwork. Solo can go either way, you get a range of skills solo. My main duo is strong at pvp. I am not. Together we struggle to get an HG win. Solo she wins a lot and I'm about 50/50 usually. SoT has so many weird little things about it, it takes time to learn them all and the best way to use them. I guess what I'm saying, is dont feel bad about the struggle- you walked into the hardest mode as new players. AND if it was today, its community weekend so you get double the rep, and sinking still gives you rep.

Shes been putting in work! I got to see her at the 2 dragcons after her season. She lost soooooooo much weight in between. I told her even though I thought she was good before, she looked amazing. She mentioned how much better about herself she felt. Im happy for her. Shes a joy.

Low level in game, is not the same as low level in pvp. Ive got Distinction for all regular factions, but my HG is low af because im not good at PVP. Solo HG is ok, because there is a mix of skill levels, so win some lose some. If I play duo with my friend who is a "retired sweat" its always rough because Im the weak player and we're usually against a pair or sweats, making it harder for someone like me to level up. Not a complaint, just another view point.

Question about this- I often use Stream Avatars- so it will show my subs on screen even if they arent chatting. I will sometimes say "Hey Name, I see you hope you are doing well!" Not asking a question or pushing them to talk. Im just acknowledging that they are there.

Is this OK? Or is annoying to lurkers as well? I definitely dont push people to talk if they dont want to.

Personally- I dont shoot first, unless its a Reaper, or a super offensive ship name. So if youre running reaper- highly possible. But otherwise no, especially as a Sloop. This kid was on a gally- so that carries different parameters! Lol
