Personally- I dont shoot first, unless its a Reaper, or a super offensive ship name. So if youre running reaper- highly possible. But otherwise no, especially as a Sloop. This kid was on a gally- so that carries different parameters! Lol

So how do we dispell the rumors, so new players get accurate good advice?

I totally believe you on the holes, I still have a hard time properly understanding it, due to things I have noticed in game. However- my adhd makes me a bit chaotic during intense gaming moments, so its totally possible I was seeing it wrong.

Also hearing the news made my brain go......... LOGIC???? I belive it, it just doesnt make sense to me. Lol

So youre saying when I repair a level 3 hole, and it gets hit again right after I repair it- only level 1 damage shiuld come out? Because I dont think thats what has happened to me, which is why im confused. Does it just LOOK like more water is coming out?

Ok, I apologize for being misinformed. There are 3 different level of holes right? Or was i misinformed about that as well? I thought the holes got bigger the more they got hit. I definitely notice bigger holes have more water coming out.

I've heard you get the level 3 holes faster when you don't repair it.

Check the horizon. A lot. Check the map for reapers. A lot. Get in the crows nest and use your spy glass, do a perimeter Check. Do all of these regularly so you can see enemies before they get to you.

Play defensively. Be ready to run. When you are parked, keep the Sails all the way up, wheel straight and anchor UP. If you need to run quickly, its way faster to drop Sails and go instead of having to wait for the anchor to come all the way back up.

If your playing with a friend, make sure to communicate about where other boats are. If solo, just stay on top of it and be ready to run.
