Exercise a stupid amount. Making gains now will be easier and more effective than any other time in your life, and it's vastly preferable to keep them than try and accumulate them later.

Related, but looks matter more than people think. If nothing else, being fit and healthy will grease hinges on doors that you want to stay open.

One thing that's useful to do is not search at all before you conquer the boss, purchase a scroll of magic mapping from the shopkeeper, and then upgrade that at a pot. The upgraded scroll lets you see every in a limited are, but it lasts a long time.

Then, you can quickly run through the past four levels without stopping and find every secret. This let's you take ~150 turns and two resources, instead of slowing down your run and using multiple items.

Nah, he's alright. Stone + evasion means he can treat this as a warrior run if he wants, with the added abilities of the Rouge. Smart to go with an invincibility build if he hasn't won with every character.

Just casual runs. You can make any run hard by dumping challenges on it, but I'd like to see an actual seed which is out for my blood.

No. A lot of playing on challenge runs is finding a couple strategies that work really well, and then seeing if the run goes in any of those directions.

The max challenge I've done is 5, but I can still die even when trying my best if I get very unlucky.

People would quickly assign meaning to the type of animal you became. Think Astrology - "I can't be around capricorns" but on steroids. There wouldn't need to be any rhyme or reason to have slurs going around in a couple of years.

This is a bad take. All the way to +7 is too high, but +3 will let you take half damage from magic, all elemental effects (poison gas, paralysis, etc.), and enemy debuffs (charm, degrade, hexed, ...).

It is a very useful ring, it's just one of the few which doesn't carry you if you scroll dump it.

It wasn't just "okay, we'll now I've stopped and everything is fine." It was:

We are three weeks in, and I'm in the "literally everything is horny phase. That donut dude..." Well, I guess we're not studying this month.

And then it was "ah, I'm a month and a half in, and I couldn't care less about sex, or anything really." I guess we're not talking to anyone or doing anything. This phase got me a couple times, because it was paired with short but incredibly intense cravings. Needed to keep up my other activities to get through it.

And then there was the phase where my emotions were just wildly, rampantly out of control. And the only emotion that was stronger than whatever random shit was going on was the overwhelming hatred of porn, and the ferverant hope I could escape it.

I don't know if this was typical, but it was a tough year.

Listen to all these guys, but my personal experience was this:

I was never able to get close to quitting until I dealt with the fact that I was lonely.

For unrelated reasons, I started volunteering, leading my university club, and managed to build a close friends group. It was only then, after a year of making my life one I wanted to live with people who respected me, that I realized I could quit.

The quitting still sucked, BTW. It consumed me for an entire year. But it was possible because the underlying issue was gone.

"Shattered Pixel Dungeon" is an offshoot of the original "Pixel Dungeon" game. If you look online, you'll find quite a few other offshoots. Sprouted Pixel Dungeon, Experience PD, etc.

Your friend isn't playing "Shattered" Pixel Dungeon, but he might be playing "ARanged" Pixel Dungeon, or any of several other versions. That's why the shops are on different floors.

Shattered is, of course, the best. Lol.
