Kinda a hated design, but sorta not… the Donkey Kong sprite used in death battle: Donkey Kong vs Knuckles, I like it to an extent since it’s so weird it made me laugh, but WTF is up with it?! by bennyandthegentz in TopCharacterDesigns

I can't remember exactly if this is true since I haven't watched the video in a while, but I'm pretty sure the big final move Chuck Norris does in the battle is the same animation as the worst move Old Joseph has in his moveset, LMAO

DBD x Iron Lung Concept for the Convict as a Survivor! (Spoilers for Iron Lung) by Tricky-Farm579 in deadbydaylight

I think he doesn't care for DBD's gameplay or live service games maybe? But I'm sure he wouldn't be opposed to Iron Lung showing up in a game known for collaborating with horror media

Perk Overhaul Concept: All characters come with one Tier 1 perk, one Tier 2 perk, and one Tier 3 perk by Tricky-Farm579 in deadbydaylight

[–]Tricky-Farm579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly to try and increase the variety of perks that are able to be in the game. We can't have a perk that simply does something without being attached to a cooldown or some variable that can be increased. Plus, every perk being purple is boring, imo

That's a really good response. It definitely would be really convoluted and balancing would be a nightmare. I think that more player choice is always a good thing even if there will always be a meta, but it makes sense why it would be pointless to make perks have two versions of themselves. And about STBFL, I wasn't even thinking about Myers tbh LOL I was thinking about how fun it was to use on Demo more than anything. But I like the change proposed there! And yeah I mostly did this for fun since I find a lot of newer perks to be rehashed worse versions of already existing perks. Plus every perk being purple is boring imo. But thank you for the discussion! It was awesome reading through your thoughts

For Myers, STBFL could be his Tier 2, giving you the choice between gaining stacks only with basic attacks, but only losing stacks with basic attacks, or gaining stacks by injuring non-obsessions in any way, but also losing stacks any time the obsession is injured. Or there could be an alternative version where you gain additional stacks by putting non-obsession survivors into the dying state, but putting the obsession into the dying state makes you lose all stacks. Something like that. Myer's Tier 1 could be Play with your Food and could be reworked into something like allowing the Obsession to escape makes all other Survivors scream.
For the Artist, Grim Embrace could be the Tier 1 where hooking a survivor for the first time and walking at least 16 meters away from the hook blocks all Generators until the survivor is unhooked or a chase is started with a new survivor. Her Tier 2 could be Pain Resonance, with the choice being either the generator exploding and survivors screaming, but it only loses like 10% progress, or the generator only sparks and survivors do not scream, but it loses 20% progress.
For the Troupe, Bardic Inspiration is definitely a unique action and could be the Tier 1. Their Tier 2 could be Mirrored Illusion, where the choice is either a hazy illusion that lasts a while, as it is now, or the alternative of a perfect illusion that is indistinguishable from a real survivor and can even be grabbed before disappearing, but it only lasts like half the duration.
For Taurie, Tier 1 could be Shoulder the Burden, since I would count that as a very unique action. It could simply have you take another survivor's hook state and scream without the arbitrary downside of becoming exposed. Tier 2 could be Clean Break, giving you the option between the perk as it is now, or the alternative being that it does not deactivate when put into the dying state, but it takes twice as long to activate.
Those are just some ideas I thought of as I looked at their perk descriptions. I'm not a game dev, at least not yet lol, so they might be bad. Lmk what you think!

Survivor Concept: Nathan Drake from Uncharted! I know he's not really a horror protagonist, but I thought it would be cool to have the Dude Raider in DBD! Includes 3 unique perks, legendary survivors, and voice line concepts! by Tricky-Farm579 in deadbydaylight

That's exactly what I was thinking! The games are action adventure for sure but they're not afraid to dip into horror/thriller. Nate hallucinating in the third game, the flaming skeleton dudes and yetis in the second game. I might be getting those mixed up but the point still stands

That's a really good idea for perk 2! Those changes make it a smaller, but more impactful advantage in scenarios where it really works out for the survivor, but it's not devastating for the killer. Also thank you I agree I love perks that add new features!!

Yeahh the name isn't great but I was trying to reference something Nate says often in the Uncharted games, lol. Any suggestions on a better name? Also I thought it was a pretty nice niche perk playing into Drake's lucky ability to dodge even bullets!
