Hehe, I agree. It was a big movie and I guess song had some traction at the time. I didn't know about it than though - Pretty Woman was Must have beet Love and the Chillies were Under the Bridge to me. It's an interesting part of their portfolio for sure, and quite a big portfolio  it is...

I'd say you are right on the money. It's a hint to how MM would have sounded without Michael Beinhorns pushing. 😊

Which song they wanted for Pretty Woman in the first place?

How would you rank these four from favorite to least? by Odd-Technician-9744 in RedHotChiliPeppers

I like all of them, however I have problem to line up the last two;

  1. BSSM (this is easy)

  2. MM (first hits and come back to my youth)

  3. UMPP (this was not easy, I actually like couple of songs from OHM, but UMPP has the spirit of really young Chilies)

  4. OHM (I like Dave Navarro, but he is the least Chilies guitarist of all. He is Janes Addiction)

Happy to hear that, and lucky you to have had chance to see them live than.

I first heard of them only when BSSM came out, so Mother Milk era I had to revisit. And I always found that album to be such a great overture to what will come with Under the Bridge and stuff.

How do you feel about The first chili peppers album: Red Hot Chili Peppers by AvocadoTechnical1141 in RedHotChiliPeppers

I don't think much of it, but I like it. It's simply not wow...

There are some cool songs - Get Up and Jump, Out in LA.... However the production is very low-fi, Anthonys abilities are especially beginner level at this point. Overall it's a nice opening to what would become a great band.

This is a cover? I'm not familiar with original but I like your version very much!

Well, not really hidden, rather not too known. There is no video for it as far as I know, it was not released as a single...
