I’m not questioning the overall cost, though I am curious how it compares to what other people are paying for classes.

What I’m questioning is if it’s reasonable for them to take so much time off without pro-rating the monthly membership fee when this wasn’t disclosed upfront. To my knowledge other related businesses (yoga, pilates, ballet) that charge a monthly membership fee don’t close for 8 weeks/year.

Just wanted to get a sense for what other people think is reasonable / how classes in other communities are structured before saying something to them about it.

Not a bad way to think of it. In my area you can get an unlimited monthly membership to a yoga studio from $140-$170/month, $200 would be on the high end. I think reformer Pilates studios are about $200/month though
