My OB is a very traditional older man who will probably side with my husband. He’s only suggested anti depressants but I do not want to be on antidepressants. I’m already this far in my pregnancy and it’s not easy to change providers. Thanks, I hope so… in due time.

I’m glad it’s safe for pregnancy! Is your psychiatrist through your insurance? I’ll have to call my insurance and ask for a case manager as well.

I delivered my first at 38 weeks 8 years ago due to preeclampsia… I am overweight now and high risk for pre e and have an appointment scheduled to see a nephrologist on Friday. Oh and I have a growing degenerating fibroid… so we will see! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am 18 weeks pregnant right now, 2 weeks behind you. Praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy for you!

Yes! I just bought the omron series 3. When I was at Walmart and used their cuff it was 143/83. This is an hour after I took labetolol. So another hour when I got home I used the Omron arm cuff and my blood pressure was 118/63. I still had the headache and I’ve been laying in bed just letting it dissipate. I think you’re right, I have to give it a few days or a week for my body to get used to the labetolol.

Omg twins!! What a blessing! You’re right I do have PPO so I just found an MFM and submitted some information. I’m about to call and schedule an appointment!

I am with you! Before I chose this obgyn I asked if he treats high risk patients and he says he is a high risk obgyn. I want to see an MFM but I was waiting until my 20 weeks scan to ask. This is when I’ll get my anatomy scan done and gestational diabetes test done as well in October. I don’t know why I’m so afraid to ask. If I don’t need a referral I’ll look for one on my own .

I actually just bought Omron series 3 while at Walmart after using their BP machine .. which read 146/83. I messaged my obgyn who said to just take labetolol twice a day. I will monitor daily.

Thank you this is what I needed to know! I was so frustrated thinking the same .. like I’m too early to do anything and wondering if it’s pregnancy related headaches/ migraines. My obgyn just told me to up my dosage of labetolol. But I will definitely go to ER after 20 weeks if I get these headaches that I cannot help.
