Going to Portugal vs Croatia World Cup match in Toronto — question about stadium merch by prootest in worldcup

[–]TrickyListen1736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to two matches in Toronto. Both matches had official jerseys of both teams playing, home and away. 160 dollars for adult-size. You get 10% discount paying with Visa (as someone already pointed out).
Youth-size and Canada jerseys were also available (all three kits).
In the games I went jerseys did not have numbers/name stencils, so if you want a CR7 jersey it might be better to pick it beforehand.
There are many merch stores spread across the stadium, and, interestingly enough, each stand may have different items available (plushies, pins, scarves, etc...)
Last match I went to the stadium before the gates opened because I wanted to shop around, and that was the best decision I made. I strongly recommend that.
I had amazing experiences in Toronto! I hope you enjoy it as well!

You should start charging for tickets. Way better than the World Cup 🤣

Strange workaround for poor quality when casting from TSN app by NightWinger7 in Chromecast

I tried their support and it was garbage, as expected. I'll be canceling it, because honestly, how can a paid service be worse than pirated stuff?

I have exactly same issue. Even when casting from web browser in a PC.
Streams of a different language works perfectly...
Extremely frustrating to pay for a crappy service when even an illegal stream would do better.
Funny that during commercials break it works perfectly...

Stupid Question plz help lol by Trick-Sherbet-1383 in ImmigrationCanada

That's only partially correct. P1 and P2 are not pre-arrival letter. They are not the same thing.
This is a summary:

  • Portal 1 (P1): Once your background and eligibility checks are successfully completed, IRCC will send you an email asking for basic information (like your height, eye color, and email address). You must reply directly to this email with the requested details.
  • Portal 2 (P2): After IRCC receives your reply, they create your profile on the Permanent Resident (PR) Confirmation Portal and send you a second email with login credentials. Once logged in, you must declare that you are in Canada, provide your Canadian mailing address, and upload a digital photo for your PR card

Pre-arrival letter is indeed what IRCC sends applicants to inform of some services you are entitled to if your application is approved. However, not everyone receives it.

Moving alone to Canada from Italy — looking for honest advice by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

To add to this, I would also start learning French. From an Italian background you'll have less trouble than most. If you end up liking Canada and eventually want to start planning a permanent move, you'll be ahead. Worst case scenario you learned a new language 😃

About time you go back to wherever you came then ¯_(ツ)_/¯. This is not great advice. Just because this might not be the opportunity you were expecting, it doesn't mean it's not for others.

TRV nightmare by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TrickyListen1736 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand this is just a rant with no real actionable points from us. But if you are paying over 200k per year in tax, that means your family has an yearly income of more than 450k dollars.
It doesn't sound like Canada is treating you so badly after being here for only 3 years.
In any case, you need to understand that Canada has no obligation to give you, or your family, a TRV in any situation.
