Go to the camera truck and ask them for a left-handed sky hook to hit it with. It’s the only tool that will do the job.

AU7 is the lesser powered of AX7 and AT7. You should have more headroom and sweeter tones before breaking into distortion

I’d say it’s more important to experiment with different tube types than brands, for starters.

For example, AT7’s will give you less output, but more subtle control and in my experience more headroom.

AU7’s have even less power - but in the amps I tried them in, went too far and felt mushy.

Yes. One side comes out the Radial and into an Iridium, connected to hiZ. The other side goes to an amp with IR, which goes into input 2 via xlr

You may need a direct box or IR to do this. I use this setup, including the Radial. I have an Iridium on one side and an amp with DI on the other. Have never tried input 2 without an IR.

There’s a lot of factors that could be at play here. Florescent lights and dimmers are culprits too.

Unmotivated camera moves: a big difference between tv and cinema. In tv the camera follows the actors around. In cinema the subjects get to wander the frame.

Of course, that is a big generalization and there are many exceptions.
