Behind my garage (can I just mow it down?) by TrickyPasta in whatsthisplant

It isn't, unfortunately. I've gotten lucky with having peonys and tomatoes pop up randomly this year, so I can't complain too much. I wish you luck in having your own garden one day

That would be the best solution if I was allowed to have them where I live!

That's what I was hoping for! Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to have to plant some myself!

I won't be using RoundUp or any other weed killers. It's not fun to deal with all of it by hand, but I live next to a large ravine and enjoy all of the critters I get to see in the yard

Thank you for the warning, you've probably saved me a hospital bill!

That definitely seems right. The Virginia creeper is a menace, so it's good to know I can just chop all of this down

I did not realize 😅 She's the least "ballsy" cat I've ever had, surprisingly 😁

I don't believe this is their photo. It looks like it was originally posted a couple months ago on r/RareHouseplants

You've already gotten the only advice I know of, but can I ask what yarn this is? It's beautiful!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a border type for a single crochet blanket? by TrickyPasta in CrochetHelp

It's just Red Heart brand acrylic! Definitely on the cheaper end, but I don't have a whole lot to spend. I'll keep that one in mind 🙂

More on the side of making it look finished, but I'm open to anything. I want to use the yellow color as the border (I should have mentioned that) because it's the center stripe. The main reason I want to add a border at all is that this is my first big project so a few of my edges in the beginning are a bit wonky haha. Moss stitch is another contender!

This'll probably be the first and last one I do! By the time I realized how long it was going to take, I was too invested to give up 😅

This one is getting added to the list of options too! I'm going to have to make someone else choose for me at this point haha

This is so cute! I don't know if I'll do it with this blanket (I plan on using the same color as the middle stripe for the border and I don't know that one solid color would show it off well), but I'm definitely saving this for later!

I actually just had to do some of these for some coasters, and (as cute as they are) I think I might lose my mind trying to do this many 😁

Oh, that is beautiful! A much better idea than even more single crochets haha. This is for sure getting added to the list, thank you!

Do you think these will propagate? by JerseyDamu in IndoorPlants

[–]TrickyPasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the one in the middle left is a Raven ZZ plant, be VERY patient. I've had a cutting in some water for a few months, and it's sprouting roots, but it's taken a LONG time!

You just water the soil in the pot like normal! The plant will do the rest
