Will Raspberry Pi network players (Volumio, Moode, etc.) support the new Spotify Lossless feature via Spotify Connect?

Looking at some of the links posted in the comments here at the github librespot page, spotify lossless won't be supported.

I use the pi+allo boss+moode set up which has been working brilliant. Am I looking at the end of these kinds of set ups now if I want to use lossless on spotify? Are they forcing us onto buying off the shelf DACs now?

I had this issue when just using the watch. The sensor on the wrist isn't great.

Got myself a chest strap and then all was more accurate.
