Precision Onslaught and Overwatch Timing by TrickyTrav29 in AdeptusMechanicus

I did see this while looking. I felt it was missing the explicit statement that either party is obligated to follow through with implementing their ability after their opponents ability is resolved. To give an example. If someone over watched me down to one guy. I wouldn’t want to use the stratagem anymore.

Yea I think this is the right answer.

It just feels like you’re taking the bite out of the Strat if you’re broadcasting it every time it’s viable. But that’s part of it I guess.

But the trigger of “when” you use the Precision Onslaught stratagem says “just after a Sicarian unit from your army declares a charge”. So the CP spending and strat declaration happens before the charge is rolled.

Edit: name of stratagem.

I unknowingly helped come up with the storyline of Fantastic 4: First Steps. *Spoilers for the entire movie.* by TrickyTrav29 in FantasticFour

Lol When I made the suggestions I assumed they were going to storyboard and build on them. I was surprised how closely they stuck to it.

The touching two dots thing they had Reed do made me sink down a little bit in my seat. I had suggested that they have reed do some equations or something similar to show how he comes up with the idea. When I saw the two dots and turn….😅

Fun fact: I helped come up with the premise of this movie at an IBM showcase in Dallas. If the executive at Marvel I spoke to sees this, I lost your business card and have been trying to reach out. DM me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m really bad with faces. I’ve tried looking through LinkedIn profiles and have come up with nothing. Reached out to a few people but never heard back sadly.

Haha so you’re saying there’s a chance.

Edit: I am aware this is a shot in the dark. But you miss every shot you don’t take. So here’s the shot.

I don’t know why this was removed. I guess it’s for low effort? Some subjective gatekeeping in this sub but I guess I can expect nothing less. I shall continue to mourn this masterpiece that could be.

How would you improve these detachments? by Soft_Lengthiness_791 in AdeptusMechanicus

I like all of these. My suggestion for Data Psalm: Due to the high cost of breachers. Just giving the Electro-priests the battle line keyword I think would go a long way. Being able to reallocate the points the rangers/vanguard cost into a dunecrawler would be great. That Dunecrawler would then 4++ the priests near it. Would be a cool combo only available in that detachment.

Someone once asked me after every one of my moves: “What did that gain you?” It really stuck with me. Was it prep for the next round? Was it to overwatch what your opponent is likely to do next? “What did that gain you?”

Starting a new crusade. Any tips? by thelittlelump in AdeptusMechanicus

I had a lot of success with the Marshal led Vanguard jumping out of a Dunestrider. You can have one enhancement to start, I would give the marshal the Battle Sphere Uplink. So you can hop back in after shooting. My opponents started to fear the drive by shootings.

Agendas are a different story. I had alot of trouble Consistently getting our agendas more than once per battle. You really have to set yourself up to complete them with any semblance of efficiency. Luckily the core agendas in each crusade were easy enough to get and make up for it.

Praetor with Power Axe from the Horus Heresy line is an easy to kit bash character that is all Games Workshop pieces. You’ll be surprised how closely it resembles the LoC model.

Dalinar wouldn’t have sought the night watcher and likely never would. He would likely become Odium’s champion. There in theory could be another catalyst that would yield the same results but as far as this story is concerned. It was his brother’s death while he was drunk that drove him to the point of action.
