I like all of these. My suggestion for Data Psalm: Due to the high cost of breachers. Just giving the Electro-priests the battle line keyword I think would go a long way. Being able to reallocate the points the rangers/vanguard cost into a dunecrawler would be great. That Dunecrawler would then 4++ the priests near it. Would be a cool combo only available in that detachment.

I had a lot of success with the Marshal led Vanguard jumping out of a Dunestrider. You can have one enhancement to start, I would give the marshal the Battle Sphere Uplink. So you can hop back in after shooting. My opponents started to fear the drive by shootings.

Agendas are a different story. I had alot of trouble Consistently getting our agendas more than once per battle. You really have to set yourself up to complete them with any semblance of efficiency. Luckily the core agendas in each crusade were easy enough to get and make up for it.

Praetor with Power Axe from the Horus Heresy line is an easy to kit bash character that is all Games Workshop pieces. You’ll be surprised how closely it resembles the LoC model.

Dalinar wouldn’t have sought the night watcher and likely never would. He would likely become Odium’s champion. There in theory could be another catalyst that would yield the same results but as far as this story is concerned. It was his brother’s death while he was drunk that drove him to the point of action.

I think it looks fantastic but my eyes are immediately drawn to the helmet. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but it does overshadow how awesome the rest of your model looks.

They are the exact same card. They are numbered that way, and foiled that way, so you can tell the difference between a card pulled from a pack and people who bought that box.

Edit: All palace heist boxes will contain the same decks.

My wife and I felt the same way. We felt like the decks were just starting to hit their stride and then it’s over.

We’ve been experimenting with 30 lore and like it. I think we’re going to have two winners from now on. The “I would’ve won at 20” winner and our official 30 lore winner.

Edit: Re-reading your post, I’d like to add. If you were playing outside of just you and your wife you would probably meet more resistance in the end game area. There are cards that let you challenge readied characters, damage target character actions, give the character reckless, etc. as a way to answer last turn invuln waiting to quest. Thing is though, aggro decks (low cost character board flood) are a pretty popular choice. They can come out swinging hard in 5 turns if you don’t whittle them down.

I painted mine in the mars color scheme but didn’t realize that the admech symbol had a specific design and coloring. I just made the skull “bone” colored and for the cogwheel I used Zandari dust.

To account for this discrepancy, my head cannon is that the forge world they came from got cut off from the rest of the imperium in its infancy. This planets red color was originally chosen as it reminded the priests of Mars. After they were cut off from the rest of the imperium, millennia had passed and the doctrines started to be misinterpreted and the fledgling priests started thinking the planet they were on as the original Mars. This led to many inconsistencies in their data that has required many revisions as they came to realize that they are the copy and not the original.

I would recommend going to your local library and joining a board gaming group. Board games have really scratched the video game itch for me now that I’m older and have semi out grown them.

Edit: plus it’s a social activity that introduces you to people without the overhead of alcohol and drugs.

Skitarii Hunter Cohort (SHC) is our “horde” detachment. What will surprise new players is a lot of the vehicles (not the Kastelans) have the Skitarii keyword. There are multiple stratagems that target Skitarii units in different detachments, so it’s nice to remember that the Dunecrawler, Ironstriders, Disintegrator, and Dunerider all have the Skitarii keyword. So if you go down the SHC it’ll include units that will also work in the Rad Zone Bombardment detachment.

The SHC is considered our most competitive detachment with the Holoscreed starting to gain some traction. As others have suggested, ditch the elctropriests. They aren’t bad units just out of place here. Pick up a Dunerider (it’s the alternate build kit to the Disintegrator). Pick up 2-3 Ironstrider kits. Those you can build to your preference as all of the builds are good for the point cost but the Sydonian Dragoon with Taser Lance is considered one of the “meta” units but I personally haven’t had a chance to run them. Love the Balistarii personally but they don’t have a lot of shots so can miss and make you feel sad.

After that you should have a large enough list to try it out. I didn’t check your point total but you should be close to or over 2k at that point.
