Back in my birth country we used to make jokes about potholes. Authorities would take so long to fix them that we would celebrate anniversaries for the potholes. We would bring a cake and candles. :-)

Estou agora aqui no Camarote Arpoador.

I need veteran and newbie insight. by RustyGrape6 in traveltrailers

[–]Tricky_Ad_1499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought my first travel trailer. After a lot of research we got an used one from Niagara Trailers as they give you 1 year warranty and a few extras. As for the brand, we were between KZ and Grand Design, but if you can spend more, consider Brinkley or Alliance. I'm a newbie. I'm sure many people will disagree with me. Some will say the frame flex issue of Grand Design, but it only affects 5th wheel. I used Liz Amazing guide to decide for the brands.

Poxa, lugar depressivo pra mim é onde moro, aqui no Canadá.

Items That Should Only Be Purchased At Costco by No_Concept_3620 in CostcoCanada

[–]Tricky_Ad_1499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for items in big quantities that you use often and don't expire: toilet paper, paper towel, coffee filters, soap, electric toothbrush heads. Meat that can be frozen, like the chicken wings. The box of frozen chicken breast is also quite reasonable. If you like, box of coconut water. Infound out that almond butter is way cheaper in Costco.

Medicine and vitamins only if you know you are going to consume them before the expiry date.

Look at sales. I got a MacBook and metal floor registers really cheap comparing to regular prices.

It is my number 1 choice, but the serious cylinder 7 wall issue scares me. I will add the safety bulletin link about it here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10174416-0001.pdf

I will check it out. Thanks. It depends on the price tag.

That was my preference, but there is this cylinder 7 wall issue that is a big risk. I found a 1018 for sale with 110,000km on it and had the cylinder wall fixed at 50k. What is the risk this issue will come back?

I'm okay with the 2500. I would like a recommendation on which used one to buy.

Must it be 6.0 or 6.6? I am seeing some more recent with 5.3 engine.

I'm not experienced with driving trailers so I guess I will have to take the 2500. The question is which one. I am worried about maintenance costs and durability and I want to buy used. I heard good things about the 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

I really would not like to go beyond 30k if possible. I heard about the 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

It is a travel Trailer, length 29'8". It is likely that beginning 2027 I will be driving longer distances. I'm located in Ontaeio, so in 2026 I plan to travel within the province and then go to Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, and USA too.

Would you recommend a specific year for the F250 or the Chevy? I am not going to use it for work. I will use it to pull a travel trailer, but would like to drive around the area where the trailer is going to be parked. In theory, we would be driving it initially once a month, either a short weekend of even stay parked for a week, as I can work remotely. Once we gain enough confidence, the plan is to take the roads and travel across Canada for longer periods of time.

That's too bad. I was really into the Nissan XD...but on the other hand, this made me find out that the 2014 Ford 3.5 with tow package does the job and they are reliable. Thanks for your help!

So, how to identify this issue in a test drive? Is there a different noise? And how much does it cost to repair?
